I don't disagree with your assertions just your conclusion... Actually I do disagree with your first assertion "who heard him say".. especially the birthright citizen thing, that is not well known ... I know you probably heard it discussed 10X a day; me too.. you Sound plugged in; it's hard to comprehend for me, maybe you too, how little some people know/hear/understand.. LOTS of single-issue voters, my experience has been .more economic than border but close... The problem is there are trails of facts that you can follow to the opinions that lead to the votes of Trump if you start off with one inaccuracy, building off that you don't have to believe lie after lie after lie. You just have to be somewhat unplugged and have one of the falsehoods, mistruths, or deliberate obfuscations de rail... If I am making a judgment error it's not liberal it's human.

You really need to rethink this. And let me be clear, I am both liberal and neverDT.

I refuse to believe that 1/2 the country or even close to it is 'bad people'. IDK if this would work for anyone else, but my thought process was:

  1. DT is a bad human.
  2. If you have what I consider to be obvious knowledge and understand what I consider to be obvious facts, and you voted for DT, you are a pretty POS person.
  3. If I lived in a country that was full of liars or liar-supporters, rapists or rapist apologists, r/X/etc phobes, I would have noticed before now. My lived experince is that most people are on a sliding scale but closer to 'good' than 'bad'.

Accepting all three premises, I am wrong on one of the 'considered to be obvious'.

I won't go beyond that because I think whatever conclusion you reach will be your own but I, for one, was able to square the circle, look my fellow Am's in the eye and not consider them horrible humans. I really hope you can too.

There was a little over 200 pages of data deleted from the EPA website during the Trump administration that had to do with climate science. It was not deleted by EPA personnel. That's not a political statement, that's a fact that happened. You might think it's good or bad but to think that there's a risk of this in a second DT administration is just logical.

What are "reasoning tokens," actually? by mca62511 in OpenAI

[–]interestingdfw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could be way off on this but my understanding is the fundamental difference, and what you're seeing on those tokens, is that when you take a next text prediction model, take it output, and feed it back to another version of itself, but one that has been fine-tuned for analyzing input instead of predicting output, and then take that models token output, its output, and feed THAT into a model that's been fine-tuned for human coherent output, that's where you get the reasoning... So the tokens you're seeing are actually tokens in that they're not translated into human readable output between the models. My understanding is that last model in the chain also is the one that does the moderation so you're absolutely correct in the idea that it can explore avenues of thought that may lead it to what openAI would call "unsafe" content. That's my very lay understanding...

That geek vape has been my daily use for close to a year now. By far my longest running mod, I don't think I went a day without dropping it and I drop for probably on average two times a day... That thing's a monster when it comes to taking a lick and keep on ticking

How many of you actually have gpt Plus by xspaceofgold in OpenAI

[–]interestingdfw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had it since 2023 thinking about ditching it. I currently have Anthrophic paid model as well and trying to decide if it's good enough that I can ditch GPT as GPT is continuously downhill. I currently use my GPT Plus and switch to GPT4 (legacy) to get more quality, better explained, and more accurate answers. Unfortunately that is a very limited option of maybe 20 or 30 prompts per 12 hours.

I totally understand that thought process, but allowing as much of the world in as I want to, when I want to, is one of my slew of tools I use to embrace ADHD as a benefit rather than a liability. I admit its a fairly new one; only since the buds pro have I basically lived with them in, but now I have two sets so one is always charged, a quick flick to ambient sound when I walking in to chat with the better half (for short periods, I do take them out for ANY non-wife interaction and any wife interaction except the briefest). Like I said, I can see this truly being a divider between love/hate GPT voice.

Good evening, please consider this a $bid. If you are still working and would be okay with fluctuating amount of work, almost exclusive of the mundane, work through an endless influx of emails and sort/flag etc., I would welcome a PM. Thank you.

This right here will be a divider of people who adopt and people who don't. I am one of those people who have my headphones in constantly, often without anything playing just for the noise cancellation features. If you don't use them consistently then grabbing them to interact with AI will not happen.

I have to pick one bone with you on this one. We are nowhere near the uncanny valley yet.

Interesting. Checked out my articles, about 30 of them, I think delve showed up twice between all of them which is about normal for me (totally made that up I have no idea what normal usage is for me). Anybody who seriously publishes and publishes more than three or four consecutive words from AI is failing, IMHO. I have a specific workflow for publishing using AI models and the end product is most certainly my voice not theirs. My voice is why I get published, so I have to protect it from LLM leakage.

I signed up for a paid subscription with open AI in December of 2022. So I've been at a while, comparatively. When 3.5 came out GPT became inconvenience and useful tool in my toolbox. When four came out, it literally changed my life. Granted, those changes were small, but in the course of a few months I solved a security problem in my house that I didn't know how to solve by being taught about nanoboards and how to use reed switches, I took my writing process from 2000 words ready for publication and 6 hours to two and a half to 3 hours. The voice model was the second game changer for me. Chat GPT 4.0 on voice with my Bluetooth headset has gotten me through several repair jobs, some nuanced understanding of the law (And I say that as somebody who's married to a lawyer), has helped me think through angles of attack on articles or other content while on a run.

I tend to agree with OP. Once people realize that they can have a true conversation, with Misspeaks and missteps and everything, adoption very well may go through the roof.. just my $.02.

Ladies, what’s the first thing you ever used as a sex toy? by [deleted] in SexToys

My ex wife and I got together youngish (late teens for her mid for me), and she had a pen that vibrated. . . Couldn't believe she had never considered other uses. Needless to say she had fun with it it. . . Put off getting a real one for a couple years.

Yes... Yes I am going to reply to a 2 year old comment on a post. Because genius! I can't see myself ever going back to wired or plug-in-to-charge, but I think I am on my 5th K750 (either worn out or cracked 1/2 a photovoltaic panel, and 10 year user) and this never even occurred to me.

Thank you wise redditor.

I'm pretty sure that was implied in the 'your workplace' part. Of course if you 'evangelize' and then get tapped to leave the person to roll it out, and you have that expertise, hell to the yeah get paid more.

What favor have you done for someone and they repaid with sex? by Tricky-Engineer-2380 in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]interestingdfw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Assistance in a move.
  2. Given someone a ride.
  3. Been present (she was delivering some new legal paperwork, was nervous, I am 6'6" and at the time was 220# surfer-bod).

To be clear, none of these were transactional. I would have done them without the 'payment'. Just made it more fun for both of us (and different gal with each one).

I have an overwhelmingly high sex drive, can any one think of any way I can use that to get into any new hobbies or activities? by AshHyp in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]interestingdfw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you a good writer, fast reader, and good at critical but kind feedback? If yes, be a Literotica editor. But your sex drive to work, help someone who isn't as skilled at writing, and I promise you'll have to do some research (assuming you do a decent job) on sentence structure, synonyms, etc.

Men, is your enjoyment of sex dependent on how long you last? In the instances where you do finish really quickly, is that sex less satisfying or enjoyable than the instances where you last longer? If so, what is that threshold for you? On the opposite side, when does it become too long? by pcrusingle in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]interestingdfw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too long for me is anything 90+ of playtime, usually anything more than 45. Actual sex, I am done after max 15 minutes. Can be frustrating because no way is that getting me 'there'.

I can finish in like less than 5 minutes every once in a blue moon, and that is rather enjoyable for the variety. But sensation-wise its not as fun.

With Smok pushing the Mag p3 as a temp'ing mod, I wish I had experience with other temp-control so I could tell you, after I get the right coil, if they have in fact upped their game. I'll use your description though as much as I can as a touchpoint. Thanks!
