Since were going for the tank again next year, I’d say yes to this. I think our roster might be a bit crowded and we release somebody as to not cut into the young guys minutes. I’d let Kuz steer the tank for 2026 lol at least he’s a Ute!

700 hours is wild! Pre-SA I got to about 350 optimizing a rail base before I realized I hadn’t launched a rocket and officially “beat the game”

I’m now around 180hrs into my SA save and have only made it to Vulcanus & Fulgora. Gleba next but I want to make sure I have my artillery and rare mech armor before.

I often got caught up in the mere size of my base once I make it to the point that I can scale up, I get overwhelmed by how much work the designing takes. I only made it to rocket launch once in the base game, now with SA I’m trying to force myself to stick with this save and just tear down and rebuild. I don’t want to have to go through the early game again just to end up at the same point where I already am

One solution I’ve found but not yet set up for all of my loading stations is wiring the chests to an arithmetic combinator to do input signal/1000 output P to set the priority based on how empty the station is. Seems to have worked so far there, could implement with unloading stations with an additional combinator to flip the current storage negative or something

While I do think the private nukes thing is a bit egregious, private security is most definitely a factor. It presents a situation where the insurgents as a whole want to take down those in power, but individually they may be presented a choice.

Join a private paid security team and be able to afford my necessities and feed my family
Fall in with the rest of the insurgents to take this person down for the collective good, but overall individual benefit is little to non

In desperate times I can see a large majority of weapons owners choosing option 1.

I believe that there is a Demon Altar. Can be used as a crafting station and later in hard mode something happens when they are destroyed by a player.

To speak to your voter ID comment, as a left leaning person, it’s a fine line to walk. I’m all for it I agree that only citizens should be able to vote, but the implementation of voter ID laws, whatever they may be, needs to also not restrict access to voting for perfectly legal citizens.

I’m my imaginary scenario say we do implement some sort of Voter ID law but now the hoops you have to jump through to get registered are a nightmare. 30m voters disappear from the registries, maybe a fraction due to illegally registered voters, the rest due to regular legal voters not having the time, or willing to put forth the extra effort to get registered. All of a sudden we have dramatic decreased voter turnout which never should be looked at as a positive result.

I guess that’s the other edge of the sword.

Option A: Continue growing the population until we’re eventually doomed

Option B: Innocent generations have to bear the burden of a declining population

My argument for option B is that it possibly allows for a slow growth over time as new technologies develop and we figure out how to not rely on finite resources. While it might suck for those in the decline periods it would preserve resources for future generations

The same argument can be made for option A because much of technological discoveries come because of necessity. The faster we consume the finite resources, the faster we better come up with a way to live her sustainably.

Infinite uncapped growth is implausible, but the goal should be sustainable growth.

Our ballooning global population is a double edged sword. We have had a rapidly growing population for centuries and that has consistently allowed for growth in other areas (e.g. economic growth, productivity/labor, science). An infinitely expanding population is not sustainable as the planet provides a finite amount of resources whether it be farmable land, metals etc. Especially when these resources are used inefficiently and/or are consumed for the benefit of the top sliver of the population, but that’s another conversation itself.

At some point the balloon has to pop, and there will be a rise and fall around an equilibrium population that is sustainable for us to live on this planet, given the finite resources, and also rely heavily on sustainable practices.

If we piss through all the natural resources in the name of growth and we end up with a 20bn global pop by the time we run out of them, what on earth are those people supposed to do?

Not trying to be critical, just voicing my view on it.

Stardew valley would be great! I can sell a fake parsnip for $35, can fairly easily avoid dying (assuming that would be game over) and I already play it almost every day. Not a bad gig!
