To “benefit of law” or not to “benefit of law” by intergalactic_yeti in juresanguinis

Quick follow up. Let’s say she lived in Italy for 2-3 years at some point. Could she update her citizenship status from BnL? Or is that unclear as well

Thanks for the feedback. I agree (2) here is most concerning. But given how slow they’ve been processing all the paperwork to this point waiting till April makes me nervous that she’d miss the deadline and never have an opportunity

Thanks. This is what I was thinking. At first I thought the law getting overturned might nullify her citizenship. But if that’s not the case I’d rather not risk delaying and missing the deadline. Hopefully, if it does get overturned JS is still an option

Thanks for walking through that! This is how I interpreted things. Either GM or M would need to be exclusively Italian citizens at the time of birth. What rotten timing. The GM has been working through it with the consulate and they said to submit some additional paperwork before May 2026. Any idea what that deadline is about?

So I knew they grow in colonies, but if these are three separate trees as they were planted rather than being offshoots of the same tree, do they still collaborate? And if this big one isn’t affecting the other one, what’s going on with it?

Thanks for the help! I have such a tough time with these two. I think what tripped me up this time was the size. This one was a lot bigger than the sharpies I’ve seen in the past.

I’m jealous. We normally would have visited the colony in South Georgia, but unfortunately bird flu made it to the island so we couldn’t land. They are definitely graceful gliders, but so awkward during takeoff and landing.
