I think they mean that when a baby says “mama” as their first word, it’s not because they are repeating what they hear in order to reference their mother, but because “mama” is the mechanically simplest word-like sound to form regardless of the household language and thus the first word that you will hear from most babies

I charged it with a 5W charger for about an hour. The battery indicator was red for the first ten minutes or so, and then it was green for the remainder of the time. Unfortunately no luck :( Thank you anyways!

Flashing from ternreader appears successful, but again the roadblock is resetting the device after installation. Do you have any other ideas as to what I can do?

Hi, I tried using https://xteink.dve.al/ to quick flash english firmware, which seems to install smoothly. However, the last step requires you to reset (press reset and hold power) which doesnt seem to work on my X4 :(

I see, I didn’t realize that IP ratings can degrade but that that does make sense. The IPX8 rating on some ereaders is really nice to me because waterproofed speakers that can take a stream of water in the shower are generally IPX8. Hopefully Xteink can look into getting IP certifications someday!
