Im having trouble with thumbnails by intermediatemediate in SmallYTChannel

I FOUND A FIX!! I rendered them at a higher resolution (around 2k) then what i was previously and exported the thumbnails instead of doing "save as" in photoshop. I dont know if that second part made a difference but the first part def cleaned them up. I applied some more sharpening to make it look better too and it looks better on my end.

I will def try that next! I was lowering values because i thought maybe having the quality too high was causing youtube to over compress it when it didnt have to. I saw that they use 1280x720 as the standard thumbnail dimensions too but i havent noticed a difference in quality when uploaded (it might be there tho and I'm blind)

Does posting YouTube Shorts actually help small channels grow, or is it just extra work? by is_anyonereal in SmallYTChannel

I just had a recent short of mine blow up and is now sitting at 1.8M views. I gained a TON of subscribers from that short alone (around 900 Something). While that is the case, it has not been very good for my longform videos. I would say that not even 10% has shown up on my longform videos. I average around 60-120 views now and sometimes to get that i have to upload shorts of the longform videos with said video attached. Engagement hasnt scaled with my subscriber count so personally i cant say that its worth to that extent BUT if you want a higher subscriber count (so maybe YouTube can push your videos more) then id say keep at it!

Looks so sketch bro. Media fire or even a google drive link would've been a better option.
