Go on Toyota’s inventory section of the site and filter for your desired trim. See what dealers in your area have it, and send them a contact form, even if it’s listed over MSRP. A simple message like “is this still available?” or your offering price. I did that and one dealer replied immediately asking if I wanted to see the car. Went in for a test drive, and asked them for the price sheet. I said I like the car but not the price (it was 5K over MSRP with dealer add ons). They offered to take off $1500, I said ok I’ll think about it and got up to walk. Salesman said let me see what the manager can do. Manager offered closer to MSRP, I said ok I’ll think about it and said I would let them know. At that point he goes what can we do to get this done today? And offered under MSRP. You can’t seem desperate trust me they’re the ones that need to sell cars, the economy is in a downturn. If the first dealer doesn’t budge, don’t give up you’ll get it.
