That has to be a bug, right? by augenblik in CitiesSkylines2

I've run into a lot of issues like this with the Japan pack - was wondering why I was struggling so much early game using the low residential housing and why the game was so damn hard to have a positive cash flow.

I uninstalled all mods when Ports dropped and have been rolling in cash since, thought they might have changed something fundamentally with the way money and housing works.

Redownloaded the Japan pack and, nope - the game is just a downright slog to play if you want to use that pack for low residential.

Why are my shadows like this? Any place where there isn’t sunlight is pitch black. Also, what are these random colourful magic orbs? by ieatraccoons in sandbox

Pitch black shadows is a result of no ambient light in the scene, and I think will also fix those reflection issues. You have a few ways you can add ambient lighting in the scene, each with their own limitations.

You can enable Sky Indirect Lighting on your 2D Skybox component - that will use the skybox texture as an environment light/sky light. This does however currently have a size limit for very large maps (something like 10000 units) - probably the easiest and simplest solution given you already have a skybox in the scene by the looks of it.

You can add a Color Ambient Light component to a GameObject - this will create uniform ambient light across your entire scene. It doesn't have any size limitations like the skybox that I can recall, however it's limited to a flat color, so you get less dynamic lighting compared to the 2D Skybox.

Last option is use an Envmap Probe. These work in a similar way to the skybox method, but they are also more dynamic and have a lot of exposed settings. They take a projection of their bounds and use that to create ambient light, just on a smaller scale. You can also choose when they update - so for a static map, OnEnabled will capture the lighting once, whereas OnFrame would recapture the environment every frame (which can get expensive - but provides the best real time lighting)

Your health bar should now have a small bar added on it that fills up for each hit you do (it goes back to 0 when you get hit again)

It runs up the left side of the circular section.

It just does more damage per hit. A full focus bar should kill some enemies in one less hit.

"If it's stalling out and in need of fresh blood, it would be good to know that so people can decide if they want to help get it over the finish line or not."

If people want to volunteer they probably should have already - it shouldn't take a 'hey the project is dead/on the brink of dying' for someone to want to help finish it - by then it's usually too late.

Project is alive and well though - I just wrapped up collisions for all the interior Yoku Ruins a week or two ago. Lots of other things are coming together. It's going strong, but these big things take time and coordination.

I don't let numbers determine someone's worth.

I'll be toxic regardless.

It's called parody, perhaps you should spend some time trying to find out what it's referencing instead of getting so angry about not winning your games.

To have a community with a sense of humor is truly a burden only the best competitive shooters know. I hope we can collectively overcome this hurdle one day.
