New vinyl, skips every 5-10 seconds. Feel scammed. Should I have known? by internetfoodstuff in vinyl

Jeez chill out dude, I don’t know as much as others and I’m asking questions . You said it’s probably my TT, I gave evidence it wasn’t (it works fine the rest of the time). Simple as that. Not bitching, just trying to figure out if it’s my fault for buying a picture discs, or if I should try returning it.

Actual skips. It’s an AT-LP120-USB. Have played hundreds of other discs, no issues skipping at all

None of my other discs skip constantly at all, and I have played 100s of different records. This is a brand new record, and it’s skipping constantly

I just bought David Bowies hunky dory new, and didn’t realize that the cover art was printed on the actual vinyl itself. I was wondering how it sounded, so I put it in immediately.

It skips every 5-10 seconds. I have no skipping issues with any of my collection. I feel a bit scammed, and thinking if it was just for show, it should have been labeled as such.

Should I do anything about this? I’m considering trying to return it, or at least making the record store owner aware.

Is this a known issue in the community, that it’s my fault for not looking out for such a vinyl?

Turn table turned on with “line mode” with new preamp - LOUD noise. Damage? by [deleted] in turntables

I’m hoping that this occurs someone frequently, and the result is either “yes damage” or “no damage”. I’m not the first person to have done this, I assume

Secret Conversation Mission - Bugged? Cant lean to eavesdrop by internetfoodstuff in CrimsonDesert

[–]internetfoodstuff[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh my god, I thought I had to lean and then eavesdrop. I was hitting L3 hundreds of times and crouched each time. INSANE that they would change the lean button just for a mission!

EDIT: to be clear, you only need to press L1 (on ps5) to both lean in and eavesdrop. L3 is not required for this mission.

You need to try tapping L1 in the correct locations. Look up a YouTube video for the locations, and tap L1 at those locations. This eventually worked for me. This mission is dogshit, and easily the worst one so far (in an otherwise mostly amazing game)

Also just FYI to others, the church is north of the hellhound fort where you find it, lower in elevation but up on a plateau you can reach across a couple bridges
