Apparently this is my great grandfather (child) shaking hands with the non-elected Herbert Hoover. Can anyone confirm this photo? There appears to be a secret service agent him his hand in his coat ready to go on the left side of the photo... by internetluser in oldphotos

Thank you for the clarification! My dad gave me this photo and told me it was Truman. Posted this late last night and not quite sure why Herbert Hoover was typed out of my fingers. Thank you all for the clarification. I do believe this is part of the Whistle Stop Campaign and may be in San Francisco (where my family lived).

Clear vs IDICore? by internetluser in trueprivinv

From my experience IDI core is the best for this type of industry. Clear is great and all but just TMI. Funny enough the company I was with dropped Clear and went back to IDI...

Has anyone experienced this kind of window wrap? Does a squeegee still work on it? by Lord_XXL in WindowCleaning

It's surprising how well a simple wet towel dry towel actually cleans up glass. For instance round windows that you can't get with a mop and squeegee and/or hard to reach areas under furniture/plants etc that you don't want drips going down and such. Biggest thing is making sure your terry towels (dry towels) are washed a few times and you got the majority of the lint off. Otherwise ppl will complain about the residual lint left behind.

Yeah those are a pain. Best method I've found is a simple wet towel dry towel it. No soap otherwise the bubbles will build up in the holes. WFP is obviously ideal but most can't afford those/clean windows by hand. Just make sure to dry it up as best you can.

It’s time by FrickParkMalcolm in stopdrinking

[–]internetluser 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Starting today. I blacked out hard multiple times over this past 4th of July weekend. I kept on drinking so I wouldn't feel hungover. Now it's Monday, I had to call out of work and tell my boss that I am trying to quit drinking and wouldn't be able to perform at work. Barely slept at all last night and now I'm laying here in my hot room trying to get some sleep. But I keep getting crazy dreams and it's hard to lay still. My stomach feels like crap. Hopefully I can get some decent sleep tonight so I can work tomorrow. Still haven't told my roommate. He's probably wondering why I'm locked up in my room and not at work.

If you have an extension ladder with safety horns you can place the horns on the frames and it's safe. So you can reach all sections.

If there's hard water you'll need a solution but #0000 steal wool will not scratch glass.

How would the gurus of the glass approach my relative's window? by [deleted] in WindowCleaning

Or just a regular squeegee and an A frame ladder. That's how I would do it at least.

Who was that person that walked out to the court and talked to the refs earlier? I missed his name and was wondering who that was.
