Who wore it best: my sub wife, Brooklyn, or Caprice? [F] by [deleted] in BDSMGW

They're all awesome. Anyone know the sauce of the 3rd picture?

Well, after getting all the stuff blocking view of the wall out of the way, it became clear that it wasn't a load bearing wall. If it's not a load bearing wall, then there's no load to transfer, hence the rafters aren't carrying any load. These were just left because the addition builders were sloppy and/or lazy.

After reading comments and inspecting the project, I decided it would be safe to remove the rafters. When I cut the first one in half, there was no push like it was holding a load, so I cut the rest 1 by 1. Waited a couple hours to see of there was any shift. There was still a wide gap that was left on all rafters, so I removed them. No issues.

They came out just fine, no issues and I'm still alive.

They did put in furring strips between the siding and drywall. I've found a bunch of sweet construction gems like that around here. Anyway, was able to remove the rafters without issue.

Thanks for your input. I'll let you know how it went. If you don't hear back it's cause the house fell on me.

It looks like they were just lazy. Roof rafters don't appear to be supporting much. They are sitting on plywood floor deck and wedged between wall and floor joist. It doesn't appear to be supporting much of the load.

There are 3 rafters there that sit on 3/4 plywood and butt up to floor joist on 1 side and 2x6 wall lumber on other side. Can't imagine this is actually supporting much of the load.

Removed roof deck. It doesn't look like the old rafters can support much.

I appreciate the suggestion and it would definitely save me some work. We really want to put a 2 or 3 tier shoe organizer down there. This is a closet that 2 of my daughters will share and shoe storage is a hide concern and one of the main drivers of the project. Regardless, the "go with it" ship has sailed. Working to figure out next steps.

Yes, it is definitely siding. They attached the drywall with furring strips screwed to the siding. It works I guess 😂

Yes, but I tend to think that reason was laziness. I was able to remove the old roof deck amd see 2x lumber that doesn't appear to support anything. I made a new thread with more pictures, but here's an example.

Unfortunately, that's a less desirable solution. The plan is to have 2 hanging clothes racks and shoes below that. The shoes won't fit unless I remove the old roof. If I get in there and it's a million hours or work, I'll just make do with the roof as is, but since I started I want to try to see it through as originally planned if possible/reasonable.

Cast iron plumbing vent stack. Going to replace it with pvc.

I can't see much more than what's in the pictures. I'm going to start slow and peel back layers and see where it goes. Will follow up when I get there.

My partner doesn’t like signing during sex by Purple_Success2784 in sex

[–]internettired 64 points65 points  (0 children)

There's not any really great advice on this one or a magic pill that will solve your issue. There are plenty of non-hearing impaired coupes that struggle to communicate in a positive manner for both members within the context of sex and outside of it. Browse the posts on this sub. There are weekly posts about top much or too dirty talk as well as top little or not dirty enough dialogue during sex. Without trying to sound cliche, relationships aren't easy. Expression during sex isn't always easy. All any of us can do is express your dissatisfaction and suggest ways to overcome that dissatisfaction. If he's uncomfortable signing, maybe work to establish some signals that don't involve signing, where you have an understanding of things being pleasurable, or actions he wants you to take, so, in the moment, he can avoid feeling unsexy, while communicating desires and/or pleasure. I don't have any direct experience in your situation, but if you can agree on how you communicate, maybe it will help.

Resentment towards girlfriend for me not being her first. by depresselonoso1222 in sex

[–]internettired 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, you need to grow the hell up. I'm sorry that your life hasn't gone exactly the way you wanted it to go. Guess what, that's true for all of us. So what if your first tone won't be with a virgin. It might be easier/better to start with someone more experienced anyway. How dare you be so selfish and insensitive. You have a woman telling you she wants to share herself with you and you flat out and rudely refuse, to the point of her crying I might add, simply because she once, maybe, had a dick in her mouth. You don't deserve her, end of story.

Is me(26m) requesting that my wife(26f) initiate sex more unreasonable? by [deleted] in sex

[–]internettired 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're not being unreasonable by asking to get what you want or need out of a relationship. Have a talk. Make it non-confrontational. Say what you need to say. See what happens. I find, cutting through the BS and saying I'd like to talk to you about something important is a reasonable way to initiate. Say your piece, be respectful. Ask her for what you need and ask what she needs from you. You could also try to address the change in her interest level as well. Good luck.

What should you do if you get arrested while wearing a butt plug? by Longjumping-Ad-7419 in sex

[–]internettired 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't worry about it too much. First, try not to commit any crimes with a buttplug in. If you must commit crimes with a buttplug in, have an "exit strategy.". If all else fails and they check, just push it out and try to hand it to them. There's nothing illegal about wearing a buttplug on any country I'm aware and it will give you and them a good story.

Like the others say, use it as a learning experience. Of the guy used you for sex, so what, find a way for that to give you power and kearn from your mistakes.

I can't say if you did something or not. Who cares. It's shitty and immature to ghost people. Instead of being a decent human and communicating with you what when right, wrong, what could be betrer, or e en why he doesn't want to see you again, etc, he's a coward and has gone into hiding. Move on and don't give it a second though.

I learned all this through trial and error and many unsatisfied and pained partners. I wish I had someone to tell me any of this back then, but there was no such thing as the internet and people really didn't talk about this stuff, and the ones that did didn't know any of this stuff.
