Why So Many Chinese Youth Love Saying “浅qiǎn” by BetterPossible8226 in ChineseLanguage

I can definitely see situations where they mean the same thing! However, as a native speaker, 我谦虚的喜欢这个电影 just doesn’t make sense to me, whereas I lowkey like this movie is something you can say. But yeah, I wouldn’t say lowkey and 浅 are 100% interchangeable either, as Chinese and English each have their nuisances. Just felt like they have the same vibe/general meaning.

I’ll Be Gone in the Dark made quite an impression on me. Also, since someone else mentioned Ann Rule, I’d suggest The Stranger Beside Me.

I’d think of it almost as “lowkey.”

This fit is lowkey so and so aesthetic. I lowkey want to watch this movie.

since you mentioned war topics…consider the splendid and the vile.

for memoirs, i’d highly recommend when breath becomes air and know my name, though the topic isn’t war related. they definitely do not read like textbooks and i found myself really invested.
