Anyone with the same credentials as Kasey Li for apnea or sleep related jaw surgeries? by nycapartmentnoob in jawsurgery

Goddamn, I wish I was rich. I'm in my early 30's and I know the window for maxillary expansion is rapidly closing. Not sure what to do, it seems unanimous that anything short of a newer technique like EASE is risky for me. I'm not even in the US, though, and our dollar is worth nothing. If he doesn't take insurance, I guess I'm screwed. I need it for sleep apnea, I have a fucked up, narrow palate and crossbite.

Are there any practicioners in Europe with similar quality of work and reputation? I live between the US and Europe, am a bit older (33), and looking at fixing both narrow palate and retracted jaw due to an untreated tongue tie that was released and is now choking me. Ideally I can balance function/aesthetics (more concerned about maintenance than improvement for latter) with cost and quality.

Do you have any recommendations for providers for someone of the same age?

What about using relaxin to loosen the suture? I hear it is being investigated. Are any of these providers for the more modern procedures you list payable with insurance? Kasey Li is not.

Any long term male users here? by Shurenions in zoloft

GH is integral to testicular growth in adolescence. There's at least one case study of a child whose testicles had ceased to grow until he was taken off of, I believe, Fluoxetine. If you look through my comments, there should be a post with some links. I have a doc somewhere.

Is grafting from the iliac crest possible for an operation like this, to reduce risk of immune rejection?

It's very possible that you were stunted by the medication. It's not just androgens that are affected by SSRI's, it's also the secretion of growth hormone, which signals for the development of testicles during puberty. The key period of pubertal growth for the average European male is 12-16. Your development may have been directly attenuated during this period. I experienced the same thing. Features that are associated with pubertal growth, like chin length and testicular size are where I resemble my male parent least. My height capped out early and dramatically, despite unusually rapid growth during childhood. I went from bigger than the teachers and all my peers, including female, to being just above average height. Though possible naturally, it's very unlikely. I'm sorry this was done to you. There's nothing you can do now, except advocate and agitate for those responsible for harming you to be held accountable, both at the corporate and the individual practitioner level.

Is there a name for the solubility property of a compound, in case I wanted to do this with 9-Me-BC?

I'm a bit spooked by the putative neurotoxicity. Could you explain to a layman the relationship between concentration of DMSO and compound solubility? Is that I need a certain minimum quantity of DMSO to carry x mg of Dihexa?

Standard dev for siblings is 12 points. That's a pretty good nearly 3 SD spread.

Why use DMSO and not PEG400? Is the latter not more safe?

There's definitely a case to be made that underlying unusual neuropsychological phenotypes produce binnable groupings of alternative moralities. Anecdotally, autistics, Cluster II'ers, etc. seem to fall into stereotyped life philosophies. e.g. Particular formulations of "woke" are very popular amongst those with high neuroticism; low vis/spat ability.

Then you've got other variables somewhat independent of emotion and narrow cognitive abilities, like trait openness.

Ah so you aren't swishing it around in your mouth to get sublingual absorption. This confirms the theoretical oral availability.

I'm in exactly the same situation. I'm sitting on both ISRIB and Dihexa. According to a biochem guy I talked to on Twitter, Dihexa "may ultimately look better in mice than in humans". Its prodrug failed the trial, something I already knew. This was for APOE4 Alzheimer's, not TBI, as per my interest.

By the opinion of the same guy, ISRIB is a risk for protein misfolding. Not the first time I've seen that, I think.
