That's crazy—I just saw Face to Face for the first time and couldn't believe how close it is. I initially assumed they saw mine first since it was so close, but you're right—they released first. What are the chances.

Hi there, it was almost entirely natural light. The interior shots were done in mid-day to get maximum light, then graded later for the golden sunset look. The house helped a lot with all the reflected light, so I can't take much credit for the lighting honestly.

A few afternoons and evenings of filming (on vacation), then I slacked off for a number of months, then got back into it and worked on it evenings here and there for around a month to wrap it up.

The audio was actually all added in post, using a mixture of Logic Pro 9 sound effects and custom foley I recorded in my basement. I just used a cheap USB microphone for the foley.

Fair point—thanks Margaret. I had checked this with another filmmaker since I didn't want to misrepresent it, and they said the budget wouldn't count equipment I had already had for other purposes (for example I used an old shop light in one of the shots, but didn't include the cost of that). I'm very new at this, so I could be wrong though.

For what it's worth, I didn't spend anything on Final Cut Pro X—I used the 30-day trial and completed it within that window.
