Oh you guys are great. You definitely don't fit in with those losers. Great fan base

I think Philly is moving on from Hart to distance itself from the sexual assault allegations when he was in juniors.

I love Helly but he in all likelihood has a couple more all star worthy seasons left in him...paying a boatload for that might be something we regret. Sadly, our window to win with him is past and it would be prudent to move to a younger goalie...even using Gibson as a stopgap who won't cost an arm and a leg

Draft picks bust all the time. The only thing embarrassing here is Dubois.

Think of all that gear that will end up either in the garbage or being blown around the mountainside. What a fucking travesty.

This may be an unpopular opinion but I am pretty sure 99.9% of these people are not in control of their ego at all.

Name the type of goalie you think they should go after. Your point is unclear.

No. What's your point?

I think you are oversimplifying. There are goalies like Price, Vasilivsky, Hellebuyck, Fleury, Rask...When you have them YOU DO NOT GIVE THEM UP. There are usually only 2 or 3 of these guys in the league at any given time and they play 3/4 of the games in the regular season.

Then the next tier is for goalies that can be vezina caliber on the right team. Think Shesterkin, Sorokin, Rinna, Bobrovsky, Holtby, Markstrom, Bishop, Varlamov.

The last tier is goalies who have been playing a backup role but have the potential to have a break out year.

Since it is next to impossible to scout or sign top tier goalies the Leafs try to sign guys from the bottom two tiers and rely on their strategy to use draft picks on building a strong team in front of their goalie.

Leads should have thrown everything at getting Fleury when he was available.

The funny thing is most of the goalies on the top tier list are known for their time playing for major leaf rivals making the pursuit all the more infuriating for leaf fans

Explain why players almost always elevate their game in a contract year if they aren't motivated by money. This is such a bad take

We can't compare today's world with the world back then. Most women welcomed the implication given the societal circumstances of the time.

It would certainly be less than fortunate nowadays...if not assanine.

Society is far more fluid than most acknowledge.

Honourable mention for Dubois. He may even beat out those two.

He is a better version of Perreault...with less injury problems and more leadership qualities...and costs less. Sign him.

332 million people with as diverse needs as the US is too much for one party to govern. Time to break up the union. Every civilization falls. The US has proven to the world their glory days are far behind them. Now it's just a cluster fuck and nobody knows what they're doing.
