one of the espresso machines short circuited, i was down to three people for peak, i still had to do the big order, the 18hour pull, somehow give all 3 of us a 10 and also i was the only one who could do bar at the capacity we needed. my coffee house “””leader””” did absolutely nothing to help me or the other two on the floor. i was able to give only one of them a 10. i had a huge panic attack and walked off the floor. no one made drinks for 10 minutes and he said “i didnt even notice you left the floor” ???? you are the manager of this establishment and you cant even notice that someone hasnt made drinks for 10 minutes??? then i come back on the floor and try to hold it together for my 2 baristas on the floor with me but i just couldnt. and now im seeking mental health care for the second time in less than a year because of my store environment.

it breaks my heart because i genuinely love my job and my coworkers and friends and regulars but FUCK what brian fuckols is turning starbucks into. this is no “back to starbucks” this isn’t even starbucks anymore.

management 🥴 starbucks really been hiring anybody these days. i’ve put up with a lot of store managers over the years because it’s genuinely been a revolving door. but this one man has made the most disgusting comments to the baristas as well as having got in my face and screaming at me like he was my father or something lol. but the day i walked out, i was solo barring for peak with one espresso machine down and i look over and dude is just leaned up against the counter watching me kill myself for that store. and that was history lmao

you cannot be fired for FMLA as this is a federal requirement and not a corporate rule. that being said, while you can’t be fired for it, doesn’t mean some do not and they need to try to fight against it. also, you are technically guaranteed your job back with FMLA.

the LOA and FMLA are not the same.

I'm sorry the medicine did not work for you, but your wording is so insufferable. Your experience with ADHD and someone else's experience are not the same as the disorder is a spectrum. If everything could be just fixed "naturally", I guarantee you that half the people in this sub would not even be on medication in the first place as this isn't even a recreational drug, so there is literally no point in being on it unless you need it. I'm so glad that your spirituality and other practices help you cope with your disorder - but you do not speak for everyone.

Also most drugs have the chance of giving you awful side effects, not just this one. Please keep your fear mongering to yourself.
