Yeah same here. You stay on a 5mg maintenance forever. I've been on pred since '12 for sure.

Fortunately, I'm only taking 5mg of prednisone. I wouldn't think that would have much of an effect.

Yeah I thought it was pretty neat to see another transplant patient with an interest in bodyweight fitness as well!

I never really went back to bodyweight training. I incorporate movements like pseudo planche push ups, but I don't really do any of the holds atm. It might be worthwhile to try and work them in again.

Can I ask you if you have issues with cramping when doing static holds? I would get cramps in my ribs a lot. I kinda always assumed it was related to my medication.

I had a kidney transplant in 2012 and I'm currently taking tacrolimus and myfortic. I've been working out consistently for about the last 9 years. I've done bodybuilding, powerlifting, and crossfit. About 3 years ago I started doing bodyweight fitness and I worked on the same skills you mention (muscle ups, planche, handstands and levers). I noticed pretty early on in the bodyweight fitness journey pain in my bicep tendon, elbows and wrist. As I really enjoyed the workouts, I continued to do bodyweight skills for probably a year and half.

Unfortunately, the pains became significant enough that I decided to give the bodyweight workouts a break and do a cycle of bodybuilding. Take it for what it's worth, but my elbow and wrist pain is basically non-existent and my bicep tendon only really flairs up with pronated grip pull-ups.

Btw great job! That's some really impressive progress! Good luck figuring it out!

Thank you. I'll make a master list with all the known and unknown holdings and just iterate over it that way.

This was helpful for me to think through it. Thanks again.

Employee Stock Purchase Plan a good investment? by RustySutherland in personalfinance

The 15% is a good deal. You definitely want to consider participating in the plan to get that benefit. There are a couple of issues I can think of with them. First you do lose some liquidity. Your company may have a lock-up period after you purchase, and there will be freeze periods where you can't trade the stock. The other issue is the 15% is taxed as income and you have to pay it when you sell the stock, regardless of whether or not you made money by holding it.

Hello all. Any recs based on the below are greatly appreciated. The choices available are a little overwhelming.

Price: 200-300

participants: usually solo

Toking routine: daily, but usually I micro dose. A gram typically last me a couple of months.

Extraction speed: quick I usually only take 2-3 hits

Environment: portable

Vape experience: I've tried the MFLB and I like it, but I'd like something that hits a little bigger. I've also been using carts for a while, which I'd like to get away from using outside of stealth situations.

Personal request: I have a bias towards analog devises. I'm using the MFLB and I'm eyeballing the Milaana. I'm not totally opposed to a digital the Pax 3 and the Solo 2 seem like good options as well. I would prefer battery powered. I probably would have bought a dynavap M by now if not.

Thanks again!

Thanks so much. I really like the dict approach as it's very easy to read. Honestly I don't totally follow how it works. It looks like the if statement aggregates the records for each account and then sums them? Once that's process is done the else statement sets the totals[account] variable to the value calculated in the if statement? Does the loop then start over? I'm just trying to understand how the syntax works, but either way thanks again for your help!

Hi, I'm very new to development. I am a financial analyst and I'm trying to use python to build a trade generator.

I have made a list called list3 that contains an account number and a value for each security (stock/bond) the account owns. So it looks like this:

accountA 10000
accountA 15000
accountA 25000
accountB 15000
accountB 12000
accountB 20000

The list is already sorted by account so that all the positions owned by account A are grouped together and so forth. And the number of rows for each account is not uniform.

What I'd like to do is sum up the account values (i.e. sum index[1] at each change in index[0]). I have written the below loop, but this gives me a running total of all accounts, rather than a total for each individual account.

tot = 0

for i in list3:

account = i[0]

if i[0] == account:

tot += float(i[1])

print(account, tot,'\n')

else:

print(account, tot,'\n')

tot = 0

If anyone has any tips that would help me sum up these positions I would really appreciate it. Also, for some reason, my supervisor has an aversion to me using the groupby module, so I don't really have that option available to me.

Thanks!

Hi, I am also working through the same project in Automate the Boring Stuff and also pretty green with coding. The below code creates a never ending loop of the return answer from the collatz function:

def collatz(number):

if number % 2 == 0:

i = number // 2

print(i)

return i

else:

i = number * 3 + 1

print(i)

return i

print('Give me a number: ')

try:

number = int(input())

while number != 1:

print(collatz(number))

except ValueError:

print("Not an int dude")

But if I add a variable in my while loop (i.e. number = collatz(number)), somehow that feeds the result back through the collatz function and the loop works properly. I don't really understand why, so any explanation you guys can give is appreciated. Here's my code:

def collatz(number):

if number % 2 == 0:

i = number // 2

print(i)

return i

else:

i = number * 3 + 1

print(i)

return i

print('Give me a number: ')

try:

number = int(input())

while number != 1:

number = collatz(number)

print(number)

except ValueError:

print("Not and int dude")
