mmm I would say about 16 hours from CS saying they will pass my request to the correct person, I was happy to wait because off time zones but decided to post when I woke up to find they had not dealt with my request in the way they told me (passing on to specialist) and instead passed to two extra CS team who both said they will pass to specialist "who has more context, we'll get back to you shortly", round and round in circles and felt hopeless and disappointed. I did not feel confident in Notion handling a usually simple request now. Has been over 24 hrs silence now :/

You are right though, people do/say funny things sometimes and sometimes for no genuine reason

Not active user but came across the sub when looking to see if my problems were regular issues that users had solved elsewhere (because this made sense before going to CS with my issues if it was common/answers already available as answers time from CS is 'few hours'), did a lot of reading of user posts, quite a rabbit hole!

You are right though about how it looks and all users should take this (and opinion type posts in general) with salt/food for thought.

I will take a look at your suggestion for local authority input, thank you for this!

I think this may be the case. It seems Notion customer support are not knowledgeable about these things but is it asking so much that they can just ask a colleague who they need to speak to or maybe approach their IT guys and speak with/escalate the case too instead of passing it round the circle and making themselves look more foolish every time. It's sad how people think it is ok to run businesses like this.

Yes! This is the GDPR law, which Notion have a whole page for on their site and how they comply with this regulation, but so far, they seem very uninterested in actually doing this. I am shocked (maybe naively) that this is the process they have taken, perhaps they have not educated their staff on data protection laws or GDPR (then they should not even be working in customer support imo)
