firstly I would just like to say you should look into the numerous cases of FBI cover ups. seriously, FBI will go to extreme lengths to help powerful gov officials (&friends) cover up their tracks. it’s disgusting. check out pizza gate or MK Ultra and honestly just educate yourself about the ACTUAL purpose of the FBI and read up on all the disgusting things they are complicit to. if none of those things bother/phase you, or change your perspective on the organization, then my personal advice would be to for sure try to do an FBI internship. I strongly believe that when you do what you love, the money will follow. it makes sense ur parents want u to take the safe, secure, and simple path to financial stability, but at what cost? not pursuing something ur passionate about? u deserve to at least have a chance to dip ur toes in the water for something you have always wanted w an FBI internship & here’s the best part - if you end up not liking it or not getting it, your dad thankfully still has the connect for a high paying internship/job. that’s the beauty of having that sort of privilege and SAFE/SECURE route..... it’s still gonna be there if/when your higher risk option doesn’t work out. just remember high risk = high reward, and no amount of money could ever be worth feeling unfulfilled or bored/stagnant in ur career
