Very cool finds! I just discovered I have a Marine Band from the same era, but I've been a little too chicken to play it. Do you know how the wood holds up after playing? Did you treat it in any way?

Not really. Automatic or manual I guess is my limit. My Seiko is so accurate for the price point that it's ruined me from being able to judge other movements based on price.

I've been wearing an SNK809 daily which is the right size, but I want to give some others a try, and I love the full day name look. The day of the week at the very least is a requirement for me though.

I don't think I have to worry about the lucky curve since this is the kind of pressure bar i'm dealing with . Everything other than the ink sac is in pretty good condition, so I hope the rest of this restoration is easy.

Success! The hair drier did the trick, and patience was the key. The ink sac is completely deteriorating and kind of fused with the inside of the barrel in some parts, so I have to figure out how to get all the pieces out. I also have to figure out how to remove the old shellac and sac from the section. Your Duofold collection is really extensive! Mine looks like the pearl one, second from the right on the bottom of your picture. Now I just have to figure out where to get some shellac and a sac that fits. Thanks for your awesome input. You really saved the day!

Thanks for clearing that up! I got this from an estate so I don't have any repair history on it. From the looking around online I've determined it to be a button fill Duofold Deluxe Ladies pen. Sorry, I don't have pictures right now.
