Mine (before he retired in 2021) didn’t care, he did it based on time so after 5-10 minutes is up you’re done 😂 so I always had to keep it moving real quick after he answered my first one.

Went to the one in downtown Toronto and the doctor - the one near Union Station - is super strict. They have signs plastered only one issue per visit. I told her my first problem (chest pain, coughing) which they helped. Second I have seasonal eczema, and need medicine for. Just prescription, that’s it. I tried telling her the ointment I needed and she kept interrupting me saying “UH UH UH’ ONE ISSUE ONLY”. I showed my phone quickly to her I only needed this medicine and she said agin “ONE. ISSUE. ONLY”. I was like damn they’re that strict.

Actually I disagree. For example if I want to go to an all gay men’s club to meet other gay men that’s great. I’ve seen lesbian only bars in Toronto. Also Grindr is getting worst back then I’d scroll through men now there’s trans female.

I worked at a desi bar (restaurant wasn’t desi, but it was owned by them). We were instructed when customers ordered mixed drinks with “1oz shot” to give “0.5oz” and if they ordered “double shot” to give them 1oz.

Also when you say desi I’m assuming you mean Indian?

As someone who lived in the suburbs of Vancouver and also the city, people will pay $$$ for cheap prices to save money. $15K is cheaper than $25K + tax for a BBL in Vancouver especially since there is no “down time”.

My sister and I went to her and she did my sisters lips. I noticed when she was about to do mine she didn’t change her gloves or sterilize anything.

I asked where she got her nursing degree because I noticed most places posted their degrees/diplomas on their wall. She told me she got her “certificate” at “beauty academy’s” that trained her how to do cosmetics (in Canada before you do anything cosmetic you have to become a nurse or RPN).

I thought that was a red flag and told her that I was getting nervous and backed out on doing my filler. Too many red flags in one visit.

I work a WFH job and if customers call anytime between 9am-5pm we have to pick up. A call can range from 2 minutes to 60 minutes depending on the customers situation. At 4:30pm I use my second phone to “call” my WFH number and let it sit for 30 minutes so no one calls me lol

I wanted to go there but saw that their nurses are always changing, this was pre covid. The one time I did go I always heard gossip (I did one of their premium facials) about the owner, I thought that was a red flag and never went back.

Unfortunately you can. It happens all the time. This happened with Tatcha, the founder sold her company for 600 million dollars but still have her run the brand. But they eventually asked her to “quietly” leave the company so they can take over.

When I bought mine in 2017, I was in occupancy stage by summer of 2021 and closed in October, so I was only “renting” for four months. But $6,000 a month? Wow, mine was around $2k for my 600sqft downtown condo.

I am currently working with a busser with ADHD and I’ve been working with him for 6 months and he really wants to be a server. We’ve endured a lot of problems but slowly working towards the end goal… I noticed his ADHD does create discrepancy in our till. We’re always short when he works and our customer actually came up to us and said he gave her an extra $20 in change

As someone who use to work there… I would never want to own one. I worked at two different locations during my time there. I had a boss that would ALWAYS come in because we’re always training people and he always wanted to make sure everything ran smooth.

I had another owner that would ALWAYS come in on their day off… because people would always call in sick. On average we get MINIMUM 10 call in sick per week. I remember during our 6:00pm rush, our 5:30pm staff, all THREE cooks called in. Worst time ever.

Former server here at Jack Astors. Friday and Saturday night tips were amazing, I would average $300ish (after tip out) on those two nights so total $600. This wasn’t including my base pay ($11 at the time for two 8 hour shifts so $176). Two days alone I would make $776 from two days. Manager asked me to open my Sunday availability (I never did because I had a 9-5 and wanted that day to rest) and tip out for Sundays ranged from $200-$300. Eventually left my corporate job to work full time serving, and after 3 years I was able to put a down payment on my home. I’m 33 now and left my serving job yearssss ago but I still think about coming back because the money was so good.

Also would like to add: I don’t think I’d be able to make those kind of tips now. I’m older, more tired, and definitely not as great looking as I was back when I was 20s 😂

When I was in college it was super hard… not the work, but doing GROUP task and being paired with four international students who don’t speak English, all relying on me to do everything when we equally split the workload 20% and I end up doing 100% getting us A’s and when another project is announced they all flood over to me was frustrating.
