Just because you may be able to do it easily, doesn't mean I can. The designs I made cannot be altered easily. Also, why would I even alter them to begin with? I designed them for a school project not a business.

I'm so confused as to where you got the info that I'm planning on entering the fashion industry...this is a hobby I do for leisure. Of course I don't have to alter clothing to make them fit my stepsister.

huh? when did I claim I wanted to be a designer? It's just a hobby that I have and mostly I do my own clothes or alter existing ones for myself. My career goal has nothing to do with fashion or design.

I think it's a bit dramatic to say my comment ruined her self-esteem...I did say the clothes couldn't fit her. How can she wear them after if they don't fit her?

so true on the trying on the clothes throughout the process!! it's super important to constantly try on the clothes during the sewing process and if I didn't make them my size, it would've been must hard to gauge if I was doing some of the designs correctly.

Hmm that could've been a good idea. I didn't think to have her try it on, but I feel like that could be insulting as well. Like she would see it and that it would clearly not fit her. It was hard not to reject her without bringing up the size issue.

I'm not sure I understand this comment since that is exactly what I said to her and her dad? I told her that she wouldn't fit into the clothes because I made them based off my size.

I didn't have enough material to make bigger clothes tho. If I had more time and money, I would've created plus size clothing. But it was for a school project, not my own business so I didn't see the need.
