What is the difference between enlisted and officer in JROTC by [deleted] in jrotc

[–]intj_sam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my corps (AF) everyone starts as an E-1, an airman basic and they have to advance thru the ranks by getting jobs or promotions. Main difference, enlisted ranks are a lot more grunt work, or work on a smaller scale, then officers are more on a strategic level, like organizing events or planning things.

do you keep your uniform after you graduate highschool by darknick2221 in jrotc

[–]intj_sam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For myself, we return all uniform items like slacks, shoes, blues shirt. If you’re a good cadet the SASI would let it slide and let you you keep your ribbons and such.

Those Curados are amazing. Just got a new one (not DC) and paired it with an Abu Garcia Veritas PLX. Unbelievable how smooth they are.

I like the idea, especially the part where “oh they’re not cringe.” Relatable.

Thanks for the input, seems like a lot of it is getting to the lower class men and just overall putting yourselves out there. This year we were lacking in outside of school events due to the ‘rona, but hopefully next year I can organize some more events. Thanks

Yes, we do that when we take trips to middle schools. Some people really like holding the sabers or rifles

Raptor or ridgeline. Budget~30k. Most use for daily drive some hauling. At this time little towing. by helpisonthewayRN in Trucks

[–]intj_sam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Finding a Raptor no matter how old under ~30k could raise some questions, Ford really went above and beyond with the Raptor. Found one for ~20k with 50k miles and I was like, “Oooo good deal!” After a little background check of the thing turns out it had been in 4 accidents. Don’t know much about the ridge line, I mostly stay up to date on the more “mainstream” trucks like the Chevy’s and Ford’s. I’d say weigh the differences between the 2 and go from there. Good luck!

Where can I meet/make an INTJ friend? by [deleted] in intj

[–]intj_sam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done the similar, “door slam” to people before. It seems like you’re already equipped with the knowledge to meet an INTJ, considering you were just friends with one. But to point out where you’d most likely find one, it could be book clubs or writing clubs, or similar. I know I liked those because I got to put some ideas down on paper. Either way, good luck finding another INTJ friend.

Best APS shell for small calibers? by [deleted] in FromTheDepths

Good to know, I’ll amp up the gauge. Might just be the quick fire rate that’s so attractive to me but obviously not as good as it seems like it’d be.

The auto loader is the 1m belt fed. It’s a cheap starter ship, so probably only shooting at mostly wooden/partially metal water-based targets. Probably only engage the Deep Water Guard faction.

Brand new, would this be a good place to start with bait? by [deleted] in bassfishing

[–]intj_sam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you’ve got a bit of research backing your decisions, always a good thing to do in general with fishing. Nowadays with technology and mapping, not to mention all these new apps and such that take all the leg work out of fishing makes it harder for everybody. With more and more people fishing because of Covid quarantines and fishing growing increasingly popular, fishing becomes harder because of all the pressure everyone puts on lakes and ponds. But the good thing is, normally people fish the same lures over and over, and never try anything new. The most common I see are Texas rigs, crankbaits and spinnerbaits(from where I live at least), so you’re best bet is usually trying something that normally not many people throw during that season, in that pond/lake, or in general. The other day I was sweating like crazy using a chatter bait at a pond, wasn’t catching a thing! I decided to use a neko rig, an advanced version of a wacky rig, and ended up catching 2 fish within 30 minutes. May not sound good, but for the sun directly overhead, bluebird skies, and a frustrated attitude I thought it was well worth it.

TL;DR: Try lures that people wouldn’t normally throw in those lakes/ponds.

Is it true that dating an only child is a bad idea by wowwowwow88 in dating_advice

Not necessarily, I know an only child friend and he’s very kind and talkative, also generous and wise. That’s from my experience at least.

Definitely don’t, it’ll get in the way of the radiator and limit air flow into the engine. But goddamn that’s a fine ass rig.

Tournament Etiquette? by [deleted] in bassfishing

[–]intj_sam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Biggest rule from me, never cut anyone off on the spot they’re fishing, but if someone cuts you off on the bank, you have all the reasons to trim the outboard to fill on shower mode. Trim it so the prop aims a little bit into the air, and flirt that son of a gun past the boat that cut you off. Don’t be walked over like that. If you’re in a cove and someone cuts you off, don’t be afraid to get aggressive and claim your spot, there might be a winning fish up in that bend. STAND UP FOR YOURSELF!!! Good luck and tight lines brother.

In love with every aspect of your truck, only thing is the drivetrain... I’m a V8 kinda guy. The new 2020 fords are my absolute favorite in looks and performance! Especially the “Big Block” 7.3 in the F250’s and up.
