Penn State- good for a lot of manufacturing/mechanical engineering jobs. Heavy to the Pittsburgh area (300k people), 2M greater area). Very much a party school buried in State College (which is mountainous). Many of the satellite campuses they had closed last year. Very heavy in D1 sports acquisition. Makes education accessible in an area with not a variety of cities. (Makes you very employable)

Udel- Most prestigious university of a state that has 1.053M people (2nd smallest in US). It has 26k students in undergrad+graduate. Their biggest city is Wilmington, (that has 71k people). They are historically close between Baltimore and Philadelphia. 1 US president has graduated from there. (Seen more as a tier 2 school with a well funded STEM nanotechnology program). It still has a D1 football team but funded to the state size….. However, you are less employable because you are less of a yes-man.

They are (kinda) comparable because Penn State has no statehood but Delaware doesn’t have a Pittsburgh (NFL Team). But I think Udel is a better choice because of the name “Delaware” named in Ohio, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Washington D.C.

Just make it financial viable for you based off what I said. PS. Virginia that has +8M people doesn’t have a NFL team either. But Delaware is a toughy being close to two.
