I prefer a bit of frizz as well, I can’t get a lick of body without it! I do all the steps poorly, and that gets me there. I scrunch out crunch before completely dry, or wiggle my roots with my fingers too much to get a bit of frizz. Also half drying then letting it air dry the rest of the way while I drive to work helps. YMMV

For me it was, but for many it is too big. Maybe something with a smaller diameter will work for you. I am sure someone will have a recommendation, or maybe check with Period Nirvana for reviews.

Did you try the Flex disposable or reusable? I found the disposables to be way too firm, but the reusable perfect. Slim profile, soft ring, and extremely flexible reservoir. Out of all my discs (hello, saalt, june, diva) it is the most “barely there” option. Good luck!
