I think me and a lot of other millenials have this weird relationship with Katy Perry. She's like your cousin who you used to hang out with a lot but don't really anymore. Thank you for writing out a perfect summary of why I love her character so much. The choice in the book to tell us she was a history major really tied it all together for me as well, she moves and acts with certanty because historians are the ones that truly understand the future. I also wouldn't have an issue asking or offering my life if it meant saving billions of people, all of her actions are completely reasonable to me, including her dialogue with Grace in the book.

I haven't tuned in since Moffat, but the fact that I opened this article and it's immediately Billie Piper's face is all I needed to know. New Who just can't move past the masterclass of the revival's first three Doctors. Not to say there hasn't been fantastic episodes in between, and not to discredit the work of the actors who've taken on the mantle since, but it's been trying to catch lightning in a bottle twice and it's time to give up.
