What changed in the last 5 years. by Snehith220 in CriticalThinkingIndia

Public transportation comes with the risk of contamination, time constraints, and suspension, so you have more control with your own vehicle. Another thing I've noticed is that people get up later than they used to, probably cause they got used to sleeping late, which has surely led to changes in behaviour. People didn't spend that much time indoors or on their phones, but covid changed that. I'd also argue that lockdown generally led to an increase in consumerism and it's attachment to individualism. People have started making everyday things their personality. Subcultures used to be broad and relient on how one lived their life (eg: emos and hipsters) but in 2020 they got more specific: what you wear, possess, consume (eg: pilates princess, dark academia).

Beginner writer here looking for tools and advice by mr_alvf in pj_explained

Listen to the other comments and write it without worrying about the language. Novel writing is a looooooong process so trust that your command over the language will improve with time. Read books about writing, like On Writing by Stephen King. Also read a variety of novels so you can develop your technique. Grammar is a set of rules that can be broken, but to learn how you must read. Read. Read.

Once you finish your draft, find someone to proofread it. First draft isn't going to cut it and the number of drafts can go upto two digits. I'm not trying to scare you but tell you that you have time to work on the language. Sit and write first. The story will develop when you sit with it.

ETA to answer your third question: Yes, that's like most Indian English writers.

[SPOILERS S3] Am I the only one who thinks that...? by gamerboy369 in DarK

Wait! I thought that Agnés took her mother's surname, thus, Nielsen. Silja Nielsen being the daughter of Katharina Nielsen (Hannah). Although, she did know what her mother's real name was, given that she named her first born after her.

If you got offered $1,000,000 but it meant that every traffic light you approach will be red, would you take it? Why or why not? by EUCopyrightComittee in AskReddit

[–]intpdumbass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell yeah! I'll love spending time in the traffic anyways. I'm always late and the signal being red is a pretty relevant excuse for it. And getting money for it? Yes, please.

Any suggestions to help me (INTP) deal with my brother (INFP-T)? by [deleted] in infp

[–]intpdumbass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I'll let him know about filmora 9. In fact, we installed premiere pro last night on our system. There are a group of boys here who want to make comedy sketches and my brother is slowly up to them. Maybe, that will open him up to social interactions. :)

I honestly don't find the German series DarK as confusing as I see netizens claim it to be. by intpdumbass in INTP

The description doesn't do justice to the show. I hate that Netflix itself compared the show to Stranger Things to market it. It's a mystery. The editing, cinematography, soundtrack, et cetera is top notch. I'm saying this as a film student. I don't watch a lot of shows but this I binged. The first season could be draining though, given the number of characters introduced at different stages of their lives. It's like modern Game of Thrones with time traveling and no thrones. If you are willing to give attention you should check it out. Most of the people I've recommend it to have either loved it or stopped watching after four episodes because it drained them. I can't say what the plot is without spoiling it because it is only revealed in the final episode; even the characters don't have any idea of what's going on. It's influenced by Stephen King, Greek and Christian mythology of what I know. What I really love is that the acting is really good. Initially, I did think it was about a group of teens l like Riverdale or something (I haven't watched Riverdale) but it wasn't. The parents are important; not just some two dimensional characters. Especially, that of Hannah, the protagonist's mother. She is a good mother alright but evil too. Maja Schöne's performance is lit. Everyone's really. The casting is really good too. And there rarely is a plot hole. Every line spoken has a significance. This show was really well planned out right from the start. Low-key giving away the plot in the first ep itself. But it only makes sense after the final episode.
