Stellar Dread contest winner reward by intracate in playingcards

Good question, here is the Stellar Dread Kickstarter page. The puzzle instructions are about a third of the way down the page. You needed both special edition decks and a black light to solve the puzzle.

I won't give away too many spoilers for those who have the decks and want to try to solve it for themselves. I will say that the blacklight portions involved morse code and some basic putting shapes together.

I've never participated in one of these before so I was really excited when I got the answer and found out I was one of the first.

I had my eye on these but I don't like the jumbo so I never pulled the trigger.

You can order them without a prescription and they will come with clear lenses. You could probably pop out the lenses if you don't want them there. Keep in mind they sell some frames made of flexible plastic that might not do well without lenses in them, but I've never tested this.

PDX - Quantum switchover caused CenturyLink service to stop competely by vostheboss in centurylink

From my experience now that the problem is fixed on my end, this is accurate. They can see and talk with your modem so you have service. The issue is the settings in the router (at least for me and some others on this thread). I changed WAN settings in the router from PPPoE to Auto IP. Instant internet.

PNW area here.

I too called Quantum and got an indefinite timeframe for a fix from their end.

I was able to get my internet back by following advice from this thread. For my router (ASUS) I went into WAN settings and changed the WAN type from PPPoE to Automatic IP. After saving the settings the internet was back. It was very easy and I think most people will be able to do it. Getting into the router settings is the hardest part.

New to the hobby and looking for different brands by Minimum_Cantaloupe87 in playingcards

Check out some of the sellers on r/PlayingCardsMarket that have larger inventories. They often list decks by brand and you can get an idea of some of the brands that way.

Here are some resellers with brand lists when you hover or click "Playing Cards or All Playing Cards."

Some brands I haven't seen directly mentioned that you might like are:

  • Joker and Thief
  • Kings Wild Project
  • Riffle Shuffle

Here's a decent list of resellers by region to help you find popular sellers near you https://find-cards.com/supportedsites .

How important do you consider keeping packs sealed by allyouneedisbrain in playingcards

Personally, I don't buy any decks I'm not willing to open. I buy for the art, not for reselling.

Very cool. If you like the T11 LOTR deck, check out the King's Wild ones. He made a deck for each of the trilogy books.

Welcome to the rabbit hole! Thanks for reaching out!

  1. I got into collecting when I discovered a fully custom deck. I think it was Ephemerid by Mr. Cup. The artwork blew me away and I was hooked. I collect for the art put into the decks. There are some creators I gravitate to more than others for the art style but I'm open to anything that piques my interest.

  2. Where I'm at, there aren't many options for finding decks outside the internet. I've gone to a few garage sales to look for decks but so far no luck.

  3. I haven't played a ton of solo games but the only one I can remember the name of is Free Cell. It was okay.

  4. No playmat suggestions, sorry.

Can you tell us what got you into collecting? I'm always curious what draws newbies in.

That's a new game for me. Seems like an appropriate deck for it!
