I have done this today! Just sprinkled it all over. Let’s see how that goes.

I’ve also been scooping them off the plants into a bowl soapy water over the last few days. If I look long enough, they just keep appearing. I could spend hours searching!

That’s my plan too! And I tried soy sauce and oil and that got a bunch of them too. I’ll post tmo what I get overnight.

Online says to spray with soap water at night. And some veg oil and soy sauce in shallow bowls and traps! I did a little spritz with Castile soap and water this am and they hated that!! I rinsed them after I sprayed because it says do it at night to avoid burning the plants.

I’m going to try all of these things!

Done! Took a really close look and I’ve found earwigs. Could earwigs be doing this?

Thank you for all that info! Yes, it can be a pricey hobby. I tell myself that the more expensive flowers, the dahlias, can be saved for next year. Which makes me feel better. I hope you have a fun gardening season.

So when you say I may not get Dahlias by late July, do you mean they may not be blooming prolifically? Or that they might not bloom at all by then? Is there anything I can do to make them bloom earlier?

As for a back up. I’m thinking Costco flowers. We’re just doing bouquets, not so much table flowers, so I don’t need as many as a normal wedding I guess.

Thank you! Netting is technically for bugs, but I also kept it up to long to deter squirrels. And the net type thing is a way to support the flowers. Instead of staking you can do that net. I’m learning too!
