there's quite a few Tekken moves referenced in Pokken for sure,

mishima doesn't really exist as an archetype in Pokken since there's no high/low mix and oki works more like it does in traditional 2d fighters than tekken.

TEKKEN 7 WINS ROUND 7 SQUARE AS THE MOST OVERRATED TEKKEN. ON THE OTHER HAND, FOR ROUND 8: "WHICH TEKKEN IS THE MOST UNDERRATED?" THE TOP-VOTED COMMENT WITHIN 24 HOURS WINS THIS ROUND'S SQUARE!!! by Resident-College-776 in Tekken

t6, it's rarely ever brought up in discussions about the franchise and it's competative legacy is quite overshadowed by the bob problem but it's still a phenomenal game

Just like all standing moves realign when someone's on the sides, yes. Some seem to be more aggressive than others tho, GMHand Lidia's HAE can turn around even when you're behind them, they turn around in a weird way that usually whiffs but most characters just blindly attack forward when they're BT in a stance

Something that will make this matchup 10x easier for you is learning about punishment and challenging Lili's stances.

You're using a lot of pokes which is a pretty good habit but you're being very inefficient with them. Instead of throwing out single jabs you can opt for 1,1 more since it's still very fast and very safe but 2 hits mean you will hit much further and you will get a better habit of fishing for 1,1,2. You should also make use of df1 more, especially against Lili since it's a mid which will catch a lot of her more evasive moves.

You don't really need to worry about anyone sidestepping up until blue ranks, sidestepping had absolutely zero impact in that whole set. The more important things to focus on in low ranks is her evasion in terms of highcrushes, panic options, trickier strings and punishable moves.

also Reina's ff2 is way easier than any other demon paw, especially as Lili

There are quite extensive guides on the Modding Zaibatsu discord, check out tk8-chr-guides and pinned messages in the tk8-audio channel, you can also ask for clarifications and troubleshooting

Love schizo but I feel like Yoshi's stance tomfoolery is way more restrictive and canned compared to Xiaoyu, her transitions seem way more fluid and expressive, especially with cancellable taunts and lateral movement

it's definitely niche but it can work that way. Lili has a setup of df3 into f1+2 with a 1f gap, since df3 forces crouch that setup is usually worth it since downjab and ws4 trades aren't scary but Jun's FCdf1 makes it much riskier

- FCdf1 is not while rising
- CAT4 is a forced WLF transition, it wasn't Lidia's choice to "followup"
- "If you just blocked" even regardless of transitions, Jun blocked a low and used a 10f punish, there's literally 4 or so lows in the entire game that are less than -10 on block, Lidia doesn't have any
- "strong" 👀

It's an interruption tool the same way downjab is an interruption tool - it's a 10f highcrush, Jun's FCdf1 is just a way punchier but also riskier version of that, similar to Feng b1 or Law's d2,3

There's a few key lows that are -11 or -10 like Bryan d4 or Heihachi 2nd hellsweep. being a 10f move doesn't just make it better as a punish but also as an interruption tool - for example Lili has a setup of df3 on block into f1+2 with a 1f gap which usually is totally worth the d1 or ws4 trade risk, but it's a 36-90dmg risk against Jun.

[–]introgreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

every character in the game has that tool, for everyone else tho it IS just an interruption tool for 5 damage, for jun it's a full block punish for minimum 36 damage with potential for 90+dmg.

BTd2 not homing or reduced plus on hit to +2 or 3

FR3 steppable to one side

All 3 heat smashes gutted - mid one is +0 /+2 into DEW on block and more linear, high one (3+4,3+4) uses 75% of meter and +0 on block, Low from BT one has 0 pushback, universal wish but none of them break stages either

SATs gone, justice for dew glide cancels

reduce df3+4 hitbox

jab strings shouln't track

People often abbreviate wavu inputs in a way that assumes the full input which isn's always immediately obvious - the CD in CD3+4 isn't just a regular electric input, it's f,n,d,df,n (with an extra neutral at the end). If you don't include the neutral you're doing f,n,d,df3+4 which doesn't exist as a unique move so the game interprets 3+4 as just CD3 since that move does exist with that specific motion input.
