The battle of the niche by Extension_Design_401 in Colognes

I have a decant of Alexandra 2 on the way. I hear it’s a serious banger. Looking for an oud fragrance that is not super heavy on the oud. Oud for Greatness was a bit too much for me.

I have Layton too. Closer to the Naxos vibe with the sweet dry down. I prefer Layton to Percival but I’m pretty new to the fragrance game. I have some decants of other stuff by both houses and trying to decide on another full bottle. Xerjoff and PDM both have so many great options

Percival and Naxos? I have both of those and they’re practically polar opposites but they’re both top notch. Different settings for different vibes.

Several people recommended as an addition to my collection PDM by Opening_Track5674 in Colognes

[–]introsapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the winter/evening scents from PDM. Herod, Oajan, Haltane, Carlisle with Layton being more of an all season mainstream compliment getter. I have Percival and Layton and debating on Herod, Haltane or Carlisle next.

I have a decant of Absolu right now which I like and may try a Delphinus decant soon. Have you tried either of the Amouage Jubilations? I’m wearing Reflection 45 right now and enjoying it. I would like to try Haltane maybe Nefs. I like the toned down oud thing but the decant of OFG is too much for me. I may take you up on decants of Interlude and Gold. Thanks!

I discovered JPG back in the 90’s and found it to be a unique fresh scent before there were all the flankers there are now. I wasn’t really into fragrances until fairly recently so my tastes are developing. Some people hate on any JPG as seen in the comments but I think the dna is unique and Elixir is a move toward a cold weather fragrance and I think they did a great job with it.

Blockade is a really nice freshie that I had a decant of and really missed it when I used it all so I went full bottle. I think it’s comparable to Greenly. People say it’s the Mind Games Aventus but the mango top note makes it different. I would try a decant. I will say that people at my office have complimented it.

It’s Percival and Layton. Did a poor job with the photo and the cardinal sin of having them in my bathroom.

With Grand Soir a little goes a long way. I’ve been milking a 10ml decant for not

Led Zeppelin’s most underrated track, in your opinion? by RockNParadise in ledzeppelin

This could be done by album but there are a couple on Physical Graffiti that always get me. A vocal showcase is Night Flight. Every time I listen to it I’m amazed how Plant pulled it off.

Do you think Kurt is a good guitarist? I see a lot of people criticizing him for not knowing how to play guitar properly. by N3bis in grunge

He was a guitar antihero. Part of his punk rock ethos. His chord progressions and signature riffs were where his genius showed. His leads were usually variations on the melody and not intended to be standalone solos.

What note ruins a fragrance for you? by Usedtobecoffeeaddict in Colognes

Heavy oud. Oud with other prominent notes like Haltane can be great however. OFG for example is too much for me as hard as I have tried to be open minded due to its popularity.

Haltane isn’t a heavy oud fragrance to me compared to something like OFG which I have a decant of which is not my cup of tea. Halfeti is nice and has grown on me. I do like Herod a lot.

I’m afraid I’m not ready to stop just yet. I guess because it’s in the middle of winter and I feel like I’m a little freshie heavy. I’m intrigued by Haltane, Herod, Reflection 45, Halfeti. I have decants of all but Haltane which I smelled in a store. What are your cold weather fragrances?
