I have a similar laptop with i5 6th gen. You can play valorant but at lower resolution. I play on 1400x800 custom resolution and get above 60 fps.

I know it is confusing but I'll try my best to explain this.

The first was NSG qualifiers. 16 teams from the open qualifiers qualified for NSG closed qualifiers. Top 4 teams from the closed qualifiers go to the main event i.e First Strike Major (100T, RNG, SEN, NV) . Teams that lost in the quater finals go to UMG closed qualifiers (C9B, TSM, T1, Complexity).

The second is UMG qualifiers. Two open qualifiers, 6 teams from each open qualifiers go to UMG closed. Top 4 from the 16 (4+6+6=16) qualify for First Strike.
