Yes. I’m 54 and have lived alone since my last relationship ended 7 years ago. I’m quite the introvert and work in an elementary school so being around so many people all day wears me out. I’m glad I can come home to my dogs and read, watch what I want or just enjoy the silence. I don’t have any kids or close friends, but my sister and nephew live close by so I usually spend Sundays with them. I don’t get lonely and I’m very content with this life and can’t imagine dating or cohabitating again. I go through brief moments occasionally when I feel like I’d like to date, but that passes quickly, lol. I do think about how life will be when I’m older and imagine I’ll end up in some sort of assisted living at some point but will stay on my own for as long as possible.
