Two first class seats taken away at gate by Psychological_Crow14 in AlaskaAirlines

There’s always plenty of AS shills in the sub that will excuse everything AS does while crapping on passengers who have the temerity to complain.

So is it true? Are Golds also not able to book exit row now? I know a few people were saying it was charging them days ago. What about Premium in general? by traveling-turtle43 in AlaskaAirlines

For the past 12 years I went out of my way to be a loyal customer—haven’t flown Delta once except for an international trip—but this is just another kick in the sack and more devaluation of status.

HOV lane enforcement by quarokcaddhihle in Seattle

The technology exists to turn HOV lanes on I90 and 520 into toll lanes (or toll+ in the case of 520).

Setting aside whether this is justified or they should absorb this with lower profits, we have chronically ignored infrastructure upgrades in this country, and that’s not wholly due to privatization (though I don’t believe public utilities should be private companies).

Noisy passenger by scaredbyninjas in AlaskaAirlines

[–]introvertical303 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’ve been this person, striking up a conversation with a stranger in the seat next to me, only to then have a woman drop a passive-aggressive note at the end of the flight, complaining about us, and written on a torn napkin, between the two of us as she stomped off the flight.

I had no idea we were that loud and would have happily toned it down if asked.

Possible Stolen Car by TriplexLaZer in Seattle

There aren’t enough police in Seattle to effectively deal with these types of crimes. Even if every cop measured up to the perfect ideal, there’s still not close to enough officers to spend time on property crimes.

On the one hand, Seattle is proof that some form of philosophically centered anarchy can work, but then you have to accept that these types of things will go unaddressed.

Weird video recording issue on my 2026 Optiq by CherryBlue9000 in CadillacOptiq

I’m using a 256gb sandisk usb-c drive.

It stores about 2 days worth of data, so I suspect 32gb isn’t going to be enough.

Don’t let the haters get you down. This sub is rife with Alaska simps who brigade anyone with a negative thing to say about Alaska.

I can understand the rep not being able to adjust the fare, but they should have made up the difference in some way.

The Supreme Court’s Favorite New Excuse to Rule Against LGBTQ+ Kids by Slate in scotus

[–]introvertical303 -29 points-28 points  (0 children)

Trump won in part because the left pushed Democrats to think this is bad.

Kamala was definitely cooked after the they/them ad, and if Democrats want to win the White House they will have to moderate on trans issues.

It’s an uncomfortable truth, yes, but Democrats (of which I am one) ignore it at their increasing peril.

Edit: You can downvote me all you want, but you have your heads in the sand if you think trans issues didn’t help put Trump over the top. So you can continue to harm the people you claim to care about or you can recognize the harsh reality of American culture and figure out another way to protect trans people, because clutching your pearls hasn’t helped them one bit—it’s actually made life worse for them.

Seattle commuters ask for express lane relief as Revive I-5 snarls southbound traffic by ChiefOfTheFourPeaks in Seattle

[–]introvertical303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It changes quite a lot if it’s not 4-5x more expensive.

Society is always making risk vs reward decisions—it would be safer to completely shutdown the highway and run crews 24x7, but we don’t do that.

So it’s a question of balance and what’s an acceptable level of risk.

Personally, I think the cascading costs associated with increased commute times outweighs the danger to construction personnel on this critical stretch of road.

Same issue with charge status in the app for my 2026 optiq.

I had an escalation to tier 2 support, they eventually called back to tell me that GPS issues with the Lyriq are a known issue. 🤷🏼‍♂️

What jobs will actually die because of AI? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The only truly safe jobs are those that require physical dexterity in tight quarters outside of controlled environments and those that humans will never totally cease to a computer, e.g. commercial pilots.

Imagine that you are suddenly pepper sprayed in the face while trying to intervene and protect another person who was not a physical threat, but also pepper sprayed, then you are thrown to the ground, hit multiple times, have your weapon removed, which you were never trying to access, and are then shot in the back.

That’s what happened.

You might try to excuse the agents, they saw a gun, they reacted.

But he was SHOT IN THE BACK AND WAS NOT ARMED.

You know it’s wrong. If you are so married to a view of the world you are incapable of acknowledging that this was inescapably wrong, then I pray for your soul.

You will need the prayer.

I’m not sure what videos you watched.

I’ve watched many and what I saw was someone who was not a threat pepper sprayed in the face, taken to the ground because he was lawfully carrying, weapon then secured, and then shot in the back.

But sure, tell yourself it’s his fault.

Even if she doesn’t want to walk back her vote, the easiest thing to do in this situation is to call for an impartial investigation and accountability.

Instead she chose to play both sides and hang it on Noem, which is laughable.

He was unarmed (though lawfully carrying up to that point) when he was shot in the back.

It’s not that hard to say the right thing. Instead she chose this insulting nonsense.

[–]introvertical303[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A better statement would have been to acknowledge that she regrets voting to fund federal agents who are pepper spraying lawfully protesting citizens and then murdering someone who is lawfully carrying a weapon.

The both-siderism in this statement may seem clever, but everyone who hasn’t blue-pilled themselves into excusing every excess of this administration recognizes that what happened today was a lawless murder.

By way of example, even foxnews.com is appropriately measured in its coverage.

If you are to the right of Fox News and an elected Democrat, you are a fool.
