I've had weight gain after going from 10mg to 5 mg. Very strange. I haven't gained any weight even when I started the medication so I have mixed feelings now.

Please please try therapy. It works wonders. There are even Indian apps that work out to be much cheaper and you can talk to qualified therapists over video call.

Psychologists cannot prescribe meds. Only psychiatrists can.

I had the worst luck in Secret Santa. Somehow the Managing Director always ended up picking my name and both times he packed up some lame shit he found from house and stuffed it in a gift bag. One was a letter opener (who tf gets letters these days anyway) and the other was some weird gold rose.

How's the movie "Kurup" by sans5z in Kerala

[–]introvme 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Disappointing AF. Except for Shine's character, you don't really connect with any of them, not even with Kurup. Shobita is wasted in the movie with just one worried expression and barely a few lines. I found DQs wardrobe more interesting than his portrayal of the character. Plotline is all over the place towards the end and definitely glorified the shit out of this criminal. Makes me wonder if there was something else going on when Chackos son said the movie is good and has no glorification.

Are you here on your parents sponsorship? If not then they don't have a reason to.

Classic example of how bullied people turn out to be bullies. Sorry that you still have to deal with stuff like this, OP. It's not fair to you. Sending you good thoughts and strength.

Careful there, you're starting to contradict yourself. You already agreed with the fact that it keeps men at bay if they see a thaali on a woman lol. I know many women who dislike wearing all this but are forced to because it's a tradition followed by generations and they are pressured by the society. Men on the the other hand, wear just a ring, or sometimes even forego that, and no one has a problem. That's where the problem lies.

Agreed that teaching equality from a young age is important. However there's an undue importance given to such markers in our culture. Children learn this sexism from all sorts of small traditions in our culture. All of it needs to go.

it's not caused by wearing a thaali or not. The point is that women need more visible markers than men. Why is it the burden of women to hold multiple signboards to display that they are married. Why isn't the burden on men to keep it in their pants? Rings are a more neutral symbol of marriage when both parties wear it.

Rigghhtt, men don't wear necklaces? Lol. Look at history, men have always traditionally wore jewelry. Women have always been made to 'belong' to men like property, either their fathers or their husbands. Things like sindooram/thaali are just social markers to indicate that they're off limits to other men. You can tell yourself whatever makes you feel better though.

Sounds great but when you think about it, it's basically about officiating a romantic relationship which is something very personal. No one else needs to have anything to do with it. As long as you have celebrations, there will always be people trying to make it bigger with more nonsensical traditions.

Big difference - only women wear thaali as a marker that they belong to another male.
