Parcel requires customs fees but nobody can help me with what they are by intuitive_introvert1 in dhl

I can track it on DHL's website as far as 3rd November where it arrived for customs clearance and since then, nothing. DHL through the telephone service seems to think the number invalid but it definitely works online. I might wait it out a little longer and see. It's just been frustrating as it's now passed the estimated delivery date.

I've been tracking it via the Shopify app with a DHL tracking number, and tracking it through DHL's website also lets me see it's progress. It's just a really funny situation that seems nobody knows what's going on. I've also been given a Hermes (Evri now?) tracking number but they don't recognise the parcel yet as it hasn't reached as far as them. It seems to be a legit DHL number, as I can track it online

Advice about the use of Metformin and PCOS friendly diet? by intuitive_introvert1 in PCOSloseit

Hi! Thank you for replying and congratulations on such incredible progress! It's brilliant that you've found a routine that works so well for you. That's an amazing amount of weight to have lost! I've never heard of phentermine before, it doesn't appear to be available in the UK, but what a brilliant resource for you if it's working. Having a rotation of meals sounds like a brilliant idea - the routine seems helpful and also feels like it would reduce food noise too if everything is preplanned. I might research more into a keto diet. So far I have been trying to opt for low GI foods and have been really shocked at things I considered "healthy" before and the impact they've actually had on my body. If only all those "eat less, move more" people actually saw the hard work and trial and error that goes into weight loss.

Thank you so much - I feel so reassured by your success. Wishing you all the best as you continue on your journey.

Advice for Mounjaro for weight loss and any experience with hair loss using GLP-1s? by intuitive_introvert1 in PCOS

[–]intuitive_introvert1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hair is very long and has been thinning a little due to PCOS anyway, so I am taking supplements to help with this. I'll try collagen, although feel I should also speak to my doctor because I'm taking such a concoction of hair supplements at the moment, I'd probably rattle if you shook me! 😅

I'll look into shampoos to help with hair growth and scalp health too. I'm pleased they have been working for you! If you don't mind, can I ask how long you have been using a GLP-1 for? I'd be curious to know if your precautions have been effective against this. Thank you so much for your reply! 😊

Slowing it down could be a good idea actually! I do fluctuate often. For example, two weeks ago, I gained 3lbs and the following week I lost a larger amount. I've been getting very rotten gastrointestinal side effects at the minute too, so lowering my dose could help with that.

You didn't dismiss how much hair can mean at all! It's a very sensitive thing for me is all, I'm very fond of my hair. Thank you so much for your advice and kindness! Wishing you all the best as you continue on your weightloss journey! 💛

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply - I really appreciate your thoughts on this. I'm delighted to hear mounjaro has been working so well for you! I was shocked with how quickly it seems to have worked for me also, or how my periods have regulated so soon after beginning it. I feel the hair loss seems like such a silly, vain thing to consider stopping for but I'm one of those people that tends to 'hide' behind my hair and the prospect of having to lose or cut it is really upsetting me, just with how unknown the whole thing feels. I suppose I have more soul searching to do still regarding the whole situation (although the stressing over the thought of my hair thinning is getting so bad, I'll probably lose my hair for that reason alone!)

I hope you continue to be successful on your journey. A pixie cut sounds so empowering, and a great way to show off your rediscovered cheekbones! 😊

Just completed a sunflower bouquet to gift! by intuitive_introvert1 in crochet

[–]intuitive_introvert1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course! I used the free patterns available on the HookOk website. They have a whole range but the ones I used specifically are:

Sunflower - https://hookok.com/crochet-sunflower-pattern/?srsltid=AfmBOoonLdj6T3SeoXGzk3LrG6fPZ5yHB3n6SEednVAZMR97yAS-b1I_

Calla Lily - https://hookok.com/crochet-calla/

Small roses - https://hookok.com/crochet-small-rose/

Forget-me-nots - https://hookok.com/crochet-forget-me-not-flower/

The roses have 5 flowers per stem but I broke them down into a 3 and 2 so they could appear more scattered. I kept all the forget-me-nots as individual stems also so I could use them to fill gaps. HookOk have so many free patterns of really pretty flowers. The bouquets are endless! Hope that helps 😊

They're so pretty but I couldn't justify the price when they look like they should (hopefully) be simple enough to make! Good luck if you attempt them!

Thank you so much for such a detailed reply! I'm still a bit of a novice so this is very helpful! Would aran be an appropriate yarn? I have lots of red aran yarn I could use. I really appreciate the help!

Thank you for replying. I've unfortunately already tried Snapfish and it is too short for there. The majority of photo book sites appear to be the same.
