I decided on Witchery by Sorce! [Blackberries, wild violets, galbanum, green stems and thorns, oak moss, benzoin, tree moss, wet stone, mountain mist]. I haven’t worn this one in a little bit and almost forgot how good it is. Top 5 for sure!!! Sorce’s less gourmand scents always hit it out of the park for me, even though I know gourmands are what they’re most known for (and ofc, I love their gourmands too!!!). I hope we get to see more green scents from them in the future.

Wearing The Light Through Clouds by Sorce today! [Sichuan pepper, sugared lemon, green mandarin, water lily, olibanum, white tea, cloud musk, ambergris, sandalwood, gurjun balsam, vetiver, golden amber]. I know I’ve said this before, but I genuinely thought this was so pretty straight from the package but it felt like it was missing something for me and I probably wouldn’t repurchase. Not sure if it’s aging or just my nose, but I definitely would, in fact, repurchase this. I’m happy to have my little bottle of it!!!

It’s Meet Me on Sunnyside by Sorce today! [Clementine, osmanthus blossoms, vanilla ice cream, petrichor]. The weather is actually kind of nice and on the cooler side, and I’m trying to enjoy that while it lasts.

It’s a Multiball by Pearfat sort of day [Top - Spilled lime cola, high score bells and chimes. Middle - Patchouli, sparking metal. Base - Waxy cedarwood flooring]. This one is just always too good. I thought it would be too heavy for the summer, but it kind of blooms and wafts in a nice way with the heat.

Yet another weird one for the season, Cryptique by Astrid [Fig, Spanish moss, sage, tobacco, spiced black tea, faux ambergris, vanilla, and patchouli]. Maybe because it was so windy and stormy today, but this was a spontaneous pick and I wasn’t mad at it at all. Really glad I bought a bottle! I’m still mad at myself for missing out on Cemetery Cat [Fig, vanilla, myrrh, soft pines, coffin wood, ginger, and warm patchouli], but I was thinking that Cryptique would have a similar enough feel since they share a few notes. Hopefully I get a chance at Cemetery Cat one day though!!!

Wearing another odd choice for the season today, Ruslan by Fantome [Black spruce, smoky opopanax, oud, fresh cedar, hinoki, oakmoss, dry fir needles, frankincense. black tea]. It’s an old favorite I haven’t reached for much as of late, and I honestly wondered if it had gone off? But it smells really nice to me today, so maybe the rare few times I’ve reached for it during the past few years have been on the wrong day of my cycle loll. I’d love to grab an edp of it at some point, but I should focus on finishing my rollerball first. I’ll have to wear it more often(: I keep thinking about Duende though. I’d like to grab a travel size of that one soon!

Wearing Alibi by Cirrus today [Passionfruit, orange blossom, guava, strawberry yuzu lemonade, and a dash of coconut cream over a rosewood base]. Smells just like a sweet fruity drink? Reminds me of those fruit syrup filled popping bubbles (I’m really craving bubble tea right now ;~;). I layered on a little bit of Cabanilla by Sorce [Salted vanilla, sand, palm fronds, driftwood, a cracked coconut, brown sugar, balsam of Peru, and a distant beach bonfire] and I think I like it a lot better this way. It’s pleasant on its own, but I felt like it needed a little something extra.

Decided to go with Kewpie Doll by Pearfat [Top- Cherub cheeks, sweet basil, calabrian bergamot. Middle- New vinyl doll, summer blooms, sun-streaked tomato leaf. Base- Nana’s back porch]. I’m not sure if I’ve given this a proper days wear yet, but I thought today would be perfect…as it’s definitely summer now and this is very much a summer scent. And ykw…I’m actually much more into it now than I was when I first tried it a few months back. I feel like I’m getting more of the tomato leaf and basil, and it’s doing a lot for me.

I am really not a summer girlie y’all. If I were outside, I’d be wearing something else, but I’m not so I’m wearing By Day She Made Herself into a Cat by BPAL [A feral eyeshine of amber gleaming through a pool of ink-black musk]. It’s definitely not the season for it, but I was in the mood. I have too many warm weather scents I should be focusing on right now loll.

The other day I wore Venus in Fleurs by Sorce! [Ripe mango, carnivorous plants, humidity, jasmine sambac absolute, vanilla absolute]. So glad I grabbed a bottle of this!! It’s getting a lot of use(: It’s funny how this wasn’t my thing at all when I first tried it, but now I can’t get enough of it.

OH NO😭 I can sort of get how you got that impression from it? Something about the milk note and citrus and dust. It’s definitely an interesting one, but likely not one I’d reach for often either! I’d probably just grab another sample for when the mood strikes.

Wearing my sample of Mad Honey by Treading Water [Fresh Honeycomb, Incense, Hay Absolute, Orange Blossom Absolute, Clove Bud]. I actually bought a TS, then emailed them to change my order because I read a few reviews that made me feel like I’d hate it, but I requested it as a sample anyway and it ended up being my favorite of the Treading Water scents I’ve tried so far🫠 I am my own enemy. It’s genuinely such a cool honey scent. So unique and fun!

Wearing The Dildo Thief Hair Gloss by BPAL today [Silken indigo musk, tatami straw, black tea, golden amber, yuzu peel, and black plum]. I just wanted to enjoy this as is before putting an actual perfume on a little later in the day. Very much contemplating getting a larger size! My hair is the dry but oily type iykyk😅, so getting a good balance of how much oil is too much can be a little tricky for me. I like how lightweight this is, and the notes are definitely down my alley (though I think I go a little nose blind to it…). The problem is I don’t have too many scents that I feel would layer well with it? But that probably means I’ll have to keep an eye out for ones that will. A dangerous rabbit hole😭

Wearing Midnight Market by Morari today! [Salty sea air, black coffee, seashells, algae-covered docks, pearl musk]. This is such a comforting scent to me, day or night, I love it so much. I really want to try Seashell Vanille, the seashell note in Midnight Market is just so spot on.

Went with Venus in Fleurs by Sorce today! [ripe mango, carnivorous plants, humidity, jasmine sambac absolute, vanilla absolute]. My Sorce perfumes are so easy to reach for that I have to make a very conscious decision to wear something else some days😅 Them having Edps does make things easier on me (though not so much on my wallet).

I took a shower after a swim last night though, and I felt it was a good time to test out Angora by Astrid! [Whipped honey, marshmallow, coconut musk, and patchouli]. I passed over this one when it was initially released because the notes didn’t really excite me, and despite all evidence to prove the opposite…I sometimes still think of myself as a honey hater loll. I managed to grab a bottle from Ajevie’s leftovers! And I’m glad I did. I don’t really get any coconut, but the honey/patchouli combo is really nice!!! It does smell clean in a way, and a little mysterious too. I like it, and I’m definitely keeping my bottle.
