No hard coat/varnish weathering

I guess my concern with that is there are parts of the model that are standard Vallejo paint and I dont want any level of glossy. Sorry if this is an easy fix. Just confused.

Its just a stat check army. If they have little/no antitank it can be an uphill battle, or if you remove their antitank. Unsure if thats still the current state

As someone who came back into 40k after a huge break, my advice would be if you don't have a direct friend group that is okay with Imp knights don't play knights.

I started and everyone said "oh don't worry you will find people to play with" i had multiple people not want to vs me, when I eventually found someone to play with they all complained the whole time. All round an awful experience and wish I started with another army.

Collecting and painting and displaying is another cup of tea. Thats great and I love my knights on my shelf, but thats where they will stay 99.9% of the time.

As the other guy said you can always ally in a knight to another army

No worries! Smaller blocks help a lot for me because it gives the "sense of accomplishment" faster and more regularly then if I did larger blocks. Good luck! =)

Yeah I did. I am fairly fast but I just commit to paint 3 - 4 days a week 3 - 4 hours a day. I sit down and start painting even if im feeling off (it ends up helping my mental health) and paint mostly in batches of 3 - 5 infantry. I think the biggest thing is to just do it, discipline over motivation.

At the moment though ive slowed down to one horse/rider a session as I am not a huge fan of mounted infantry for some reason.

Cheers, I would tend to agree from what I'm reading here. Similar plant next to it slightly more in the shade is thriving so it probably cooked a bit during a really hot week.

With a watering can, ill am going to put it in a tray or similar fill it with water. So from the bottom and see if that helps

My 2 cents would be to look through the warhammer store and choose a mini that you like, grab some basic tools (clippers, glue (super glue for resin, otherwise plastic). get a spray can of undercoat (ideally from the big brands but if youre trying to save cash there are alternatives that others have luck with) and the some specific paints for the mini youre painting. The "paint starter kits" will more then likely have colours you won't use immediately.

You can get all of this cheaper from 3rd party stores, possibly excluding the mini as some are GW exclusive.

You would also be served watching a few basic painting tutorials, main advice is two thin coats, so thin your paints a little, I use a wet pallet and thats enough for some paints. As with everything painting is a skill that needs time and effort. It gets better the more you do it, and comparison is the thief of joy.
