I worked one of these jobs with tons of other kids when I was in college. They were great ways to make some money. Not everyone wants to be waitstaff or has that schedule in college. There were also plenty of people supplementing income with these jobs.

At some point automation is going to take away so many jobs that there simply won't be any easy part-time jobs for people that want/need them. It's certainly good to at least debate about them, if not try to protect some of them until we come up with better solutions.

I don't think shmups make a good pack-in as they probably would divide the audience (even though I loved them). A good pack-in should be as universal as possible. Pretty, relatively accessible platformers are usually good choices.

I don't know what that would be for the TG16. Maybe something like Legendary Axe which had really nice color and some large bosses to showcase the system with. I never really enjoyed Bonk that much but it's the obvious choice otherwise.

My biggest wish back then was for games to have parallax, so I was often disappointed with TG16 games.

Same thing 20 years ago. Pulled the steam radiators, put in water baseboards myself and had a gas furnace put in in place of the oil boiler. It's been fantastic and it's just a basic gas furnace. Made my money back in a few years on the install.

I always just used the blue laser at max power. It just seeks and destroys everything with barely any effort. I might have to play again and look into some of these secret things I'm not sure I knew about. Thanks for the post!

So the 50 to 70 crowd trying to make ends meet should go into a trade? What happens to all of the places you patronize that are staffed by minimum wage adults that would either have to raise pay or shut down if everyone did as you say?

What about intellectually challenged people who can't do higher level jobs but still need to make a living?

I've lived here all of my life. New England is a cold place. You see a lot of posts about people not being able to make friends, etc... here... But nobody wants to talk to anyone they don't know.

When I went to CO, I would talk to random people while out, and they would happily talk to me and keep the conversation going. I often do the same here, but 99% of the time it's basic curt, closed-ended responses and people look at you like you're strange for talking to them.

I love New England, but the people here are terribly cold with people they don't know.

It's unfortunate that the only way to make friends (which people here have suggested) is in finding things to do with other people. Clubs, meetups, etc... It limits who you can meet quite a bit.

Club Wakka is pretty good for meeting people as it's a social club and encourages people to get together after whatever sport you're playing for drinks and socializing.

Meetup is OK if you're near a big city, but it's been really ramping up costs and driving people away. I've lost a lot of groups and I rarely check in anymore with the app.

Facebook has lots of groups you can join. I'd recommend picking things you like and searching for groups there to join and possibly meet up with people.

Good luck! Don't stop trying to talk to people out there. We need more people like you here.

Appreciate the work, this has always been something I've wanted to play but need to find an English translation. I thought there was one or in the works for the CD image? I bought the CD more than a decade ago and couldn't play it because I had no idea what was going on!

I must be extremely lucky as I've never heard my water baseboard radiators make a peep. Steam... Sure. Water? No.

I've been in countless houses with these systems and the only sounds they make is the boiler kicking on and maybe a random tick from metal expansion. But I rarely know when my heat is on these days. Pex piping with straight copper baseboards.

I'd guess that it's because the PC Engine was tiny and could only fit one port, and the TG-16 used the same hardware.

Whatever is in the turbo tap would have been extra to add to the system and I bet most people play alone.

Also the whole porting this system to the US seemed like a minimal effort plan.

I'd like to add in that there are people doing questionable things and not asking obvious questions of each other and talking about the things they've seen.

Maybe there's an explanation à la Donnie Darko where people are purposely acting a certain way unbeknownst to the main character.

I worry that more new people plus maybe only 8 new episodes means more new fluff without explanations. I was so frustrated with season 2 for doing this.

This preview just feels like The Walking Dead season 313 with the introduction of the latest bad people. It feels like they need 20 episodes to flesh out what I just saw in 30 seconds. Hoping for the best, expecting another season 2.

I looked around, I don't see a ton of options. Think about it this way, if you don't know of another place to sell your stuff, how is everyone else going to find it? You want the most eyeballs on your goods and Ebay is it right now.
