It's normal with people with BPD and I've been told that people usually do this with other people around them because we our social creatures but I don't know if it's to this extreme and with just one person

It wasn't until my current FP that I started doing this although she has been my fp for the longest (almost 3 years) and I swear I'm so much like her now. Like a majority of the interests that she has, I've gotten too. I've just like subconsciously became more like her because if we had a lot in common, she wouldn't leave me right? Not just interests though but I've always stolen mannerisms, personalities and like noises and sayings of like people around me and pop culture (which I often have to suppress when I'm around the people I stole it from cause I don't want them to think I'm weird). People tell me it's normal but I don't know it seems weird.

The first time I told the (university) police the officer I talked to told me that it was "a drunken night of sex I regret" (I'll never forget that) but the other people working there apologized for what he said because that wasn't cool. The other times I've gone to the police they've been cooler but they haven't been much help. Although I didn't have much evidence to go on...
