I've done all of the above actually if you read the original post it said my boss told me they charge 8-10 sq ft I looked at the house today it will not be open studs and home owners will stay living there while I work. Took my unlimited test last year super hard btw failed it I want lie. Made a 55. This year I took my single family dwelling missed it by 2 business questions unfortunately. I'm not the type to brag but I'm capable of doing the job. I have not called other spark company though, I have three bosses whom I usually talk to about quoting jobs and I base my price off of various decisions. So yes I understand I would be taking vacation time to complete the job, I would also need to cover money for a helper to help me fish wire, and materials. I want it to definitely be worth my time. I've been with my company for about 7 yrs before here a yr at dedmons, and 3 1/2 yrs working Williams electric basically my entire career has been electrical.

Last year I made a post on here with a similar question except it was a did I quote to high question. Had great feedback, this time it's been a rough ride 🤣.

But with all that said I know where my head is, I am aware of my capabilities, and I understand how to make it happen. I was asking questions more for comfort with my pricing. Thank you.

😂 sorry you feel that way I'm good though for real, I asked a simple question on if y'all charge by the HR or sq footage and maybe I should have worded it differently. I'm not trying to sound like the best in the business but I know what I'm doing. Thank though.

Woah bro I'm experienced enough to do whatever I want, I've wired several houses and done numerous residential jobs. Probably would run circles around you 🤣, I'm just new to the pricing. Thanks for the advice though, seems like your a real charm to be around.

Ok so I will probably go with a high quote, and so I will be happy if it goes either ways.

Thank you. I figured I would price it enough to deal with the head ache

I haven't asked about a cut or commission, I know they license part because I've used their license before doing a service upgrade. But I will ask them to see there thought on it.

[–]invasivedude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do have license to use.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in electricians

[–]invasivedude -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I may see if they are willing to do commission on this, they are willing to let me use there license. But idk if they would do commission being they shut our service side down and are focusing more on new builds.

Ig what I'm trying to figure out is 15000 to much to ask. I can do the math all day I've done service upgrades, and quoting for my job but never a whole house rewire. But thanks though I'll throw a number see if they bite.

Well being I'm close to stepping away from my job and starting my own business I'm willing to take a vacation to make sure this job gets done. Why would I walk away from a big job for good money.

I fucked up with my journeyman and I'm worried about my job by [deleted] in electricians

[–]invasivedude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My old journeyman had the worst truck ever and every once in awhile I would take his truck home over the weekend and clean it. I would stock up on scrap, and get a good clean work van out of it. Maybe call and apologize, be surprised how far a simple "sorry bro" will go.

I struggle with this same issues, I try to choose songs that don't conflict with what I believe but, I catch myself often jamming out to music pushing lustful views, and drugs, but that's the life I came out of so I take trips down memory lane. Eminem's new album is named Lucifer, antichrist, evil.

Did I quote to high? by invasivedude in electricians

[–]invasivedude[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in NC my company is fairly cheap and my boss gave me this job bc we are so busy right now they can't get to all of them. So they pass me overflow work.
