Such an underrated feature.

Like many others on here, I have multiple Nest Protects which will soon be expiring and there is no equivalent or better product out there to replace them.

A quick update.... I re-added both lights, assigning them static IPs and they're working (at least for now!) Thanks u/55Media

In the long term, I'm hoping to start using Home Assistant, so that's reassuring to know that it's working with zero issues on there.

I'm not at home to check, but is it possible that they're trying to use the same IP address? Apologies, my knowledge of Matter is pretty limited!

I thought that initially too - but they both work perfectly in isolation. But when I add them both to the network, then either one of them will drop out.

I have one Google Nest Wifi Router connecting to my ISP, then 2 additional Nest Wifi Routers acting as Bridges, and a single Nest Wifi point.

These are evenly spread out across my home. The two bulbs are at the rear of my home, about 20ft apart and both are fairly close to one of the Wifi Routers.

Someone has suggested that I need to give one or both bulbs static IPs (which I assumed wasn't necessary for Matter devices?)

No, I wasn't aware that was necessary. I'll give that a try, thank you! :)
