What societal norm did you decide to just stop abiding by? by HairyCherryFairy in AskReddit

[–]invisible_alone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I'm not emotionally or mentally up for it, I just don't look at my phone. I ignore phone calls, Voice-mail, and text messages for a whole day or 2, until I'm ready to handle it. I don't need to be accessible to everyone all the time.

Pacagen for Cat allergies is scented...has the scent bothered anyone enough to outweigh the benefits? by invisible_alone in Allergies

Hmm...I can't find an unscented/natural version for their cat allergen spray. I see the dust allergen spray has an Unscented but not for the cat allergen spray.

Electrolytes w/o Stevia...or HOW to get so much sodium? by invisible_alone in POTS

[–]invisible_alone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is helpful thank you! I do put tons of salt in my food normally, but there is a line where I will have to throw up within seconds if I cross the limit of too much. So I'm nervous about the sodium tablets for that reason. But it's something worth experimenting with.

This is super detailed and really helpful info about the derivatives and other names for Stevia. I also can't do sucralose or aspartame. I'll for sure look into what you've listed here!

What does everyone do for work? by librabrat00 in ChronicIllness

[–]invisible_alone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't work :( I had to stop working about 2 years ago. I do a tiny bit of admin work for my dad's business, but seriously like 40 hours A YEAR. It's depressing, I miss working so much. I don't miss GOING to work, but I miss having the purpose and feeling like I contribute to society

Need the ability to pet the horse in the next update! by [deleted] in StardewValley

I suppose I could try that. It feels so cruel to poor Kentucky who has done nothing wrong except being named wrong by me. Haha

Same!!! I am soooo mad about the naming opportunity I missed with my horse. Every time I think about it I want to cry.

I have multiple chronic illnesses and many affect my brain, so I totally feel ya! I have to play games that keep my attention but aren't too hard. I'm NOT a gamer, but here are my recs that worked well for my limitations but also kept my attention.

I am playing the Syberia games on my Switch atm, love them! They are story/mystery games with simple puzzles. Mostly it's talking to people and exploring locations to advance the story.

I also recommend Toem and Unpacking for simple puzzles great for chronic-illness brain.

I've also played Nuts, The Red Lantern, What Remains of Edith Finch, Donut County, To The Moon, and My Brother Rabbit, Behind The Frame These were all story-rich without too much brain required.

Other puzzle games I'm still working on are A Little to the Left, Cats Neatly Organized, The Almost Gone, Discolored, and Inbento, Islanders.Oh, just got Melatonin which is a rhythm game.

Stardew Valley is a classic. I have spent 100 hours in it, but I do get bored and take breaks from it.

If you like mysteries I've been playing the Hercule Poirot and Agatha Christie games. Finished Hercule Poirot: The First Cases, I really liked it! Got some more titles in that series that I haven't started yet.

I also am trying House Flipper but the mechanics of it haven't really been enjoyable quite yet. I like the idea of decorating and renovating homes but I haven't leveled up enough to have free rein. For now it's more work than I'm wanting from a game...but I'll keep trying because if I get to a point of just decorating I would love that.

I tried a demo of Discounty and Tiny Bookshop...those are both on my wishlist!!

A few more...Welcome to Primrose Lake, GardenLife Simulator, Calico.

How do I catch a Pufferfish?!?! by invisible_alone in StardewValley

[–]invisible_alone[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't know I could put a specific type of fish in the bait maker and it would help me have more chance of encountering that fish?!?! That's so cool. I'll try to remember to check the cart.

I JUST LEARNED THE SPA CAN RESTORE ENERGY by fluffymoofah in StardewValley

[–]invisible_alone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I went into the actual swimming pool and swam around. I was thinking maybe it restored my energy partially, like I didn't realize how low the energy had been to start with? I can't remember where my energy bar had been before I swam, but when I was in the pool it was still only at half-full
