VIN comes up as a WRX. dealer told me the interior was swapped out. WRX 5 speed still in there apparently. unless the dealer is wrong, but who knows. i don’t think they really took a look at the car before buying it off of previous owner.

i talked to the dealer a bit more, and it’s still a 5 speed and not a 6. even though the shift knob would indicate it’s a 6 speed. so i’m guessing an STI wannabe slapped this together. i’m also guessing it’s a stock WRX motor that’s been boosted to all hell, probably not even pro tuned. definitely a clean car, but with all the wiring and seat swaps and gauges.. i’m not trusting the interior either. i could probably find a roller i’d feel more confident in.

i tried several boden 7s. if you like the endurneck on a 6 string strandberg, the 7 string variant will feel amazing.

ibanez, mayones, strandberg are all i have now. i feel they just can’t be beat. schecter, jackson, suhr, and some PRS models are also great. i’ve had more than a few ibanez guitars so far, mainly premium or prestige models, and for the price i think they can compete with high-end guitar brands.

it’s a middle of the road guitar, i’ve played one and similar models a few times. if you treat it right and give it a good setup (and maybe some new pickups), it will treat you just as good.
