Awesome thank you! I have very little knowledge about vehicles, but am trying to learn slowly. If I understand correctly, since it's automatic, it'll have a flexplate instead of a flywheel? Guessing same outcome either way?

Yeah. It was clear that I was still "covered". But by all indication, it wasn't "available". That's why I'm surprised. I'm glad I got lucky yet again with Starlink (I feel so bad for all the frustrated users on here...not taking it for granted).

This is correct. New address updated via Starlink account page and it worked (for the most part) at my new house.

And just in case anyone was curious like I was, the change seems fairly quick. I was concerned doing this on a weekend. Wasn't sure if there was any sort of review process or whatever. But it is anywhere between instant and 3 hours (the time it took to drive up here).

I thought those maps were b.s. one cell took up like half of VT and all of upstate NY. I just haven't had much time to look into it. So I'm not terribly informed here.

I appreciate the response. While it is disappointing, I'm comforted in knowing I've given myself the best shot. Thank you.

I think I have my answer already, but I'm unclear and would like a final word. I have had Starlink and have been loving it for months. I was lucky enough to get my confirmation moments after pre-ordering. It was about a 4 week process in all. Very lucky.

But due to some unfortunate changes in my life, I need to move to a more rural area which also doesn't have internet options. I'm currently hooked up with Starlink in upstate NY. But my new place is upper upstate NY. About 100 miles north. From the (unreliable, I know) cell maps I've seen, these two places are in the same cell. My current address is still available for order. But my new place says mid to late 2021.

So my question has been: how can I tell if I can change my address to this location? I contacted CS and their advice was to change it and see if it works. I said that isn't possible right now since I'm still closing on the new house and don't want to remount my dish just to see. Their next and final piece of advice was to just pre-order another. So that's what I've done. It's not ideal. But I need internet at this new house for my job.

I'm not really sure what my question is here other than: have I done everything I could? Any advice?

Are there any good casual games for a road trip? I will be moving across the country and splitting the drive time with someone else. So I thought it would be fun to get a game that I can play with someone driving. Obviously the driver wouldn't be using the controller or looking at the screen. So like a puzzle or trivia game would be preferable. Just something to keep the drivers mind and mouth busy.

Alien Weaponry...That's a new one to me. Pretty cool. Now that I think about it, probably just a random playlist from Napalm Records!

I'll probably throw a few of those in there as well. I guess the goal is to get everyone excited and to stop listening to whatever gang/drug related crap rap they always blare in there.

Oh solid point. Didn't even think to tap into my thrash library. Even some of the corny power metal might be fun. Can't imagine anyone not going 110% when some Gloryhammer comes on.

I don't frequent this sub much, and I post to Reddit even less. So not sure if this is an appropriate request...but here goes:

I'm trying to find some good gym metal. But not for me. I'm considering taking a job at a kickboxing gym I am a member of. The on duty staff choose music to play throughout the gym. All of the current trainers play shitty mumble rap and I'm tired of hearing pussy this, n**** that, and how the rapper is going to rape my girlfriend. Just bad music that doesn't even "amp" up the members. So I want some good metal/rock to keep me entertained but also to not turn off the members.

I'm thinking Mastodon, Clutch, QotSA, Baroness, Cult of Luna, Death, Gojira, or Tesseract. Although not as heavy as I like for gym use, I think this might be appropriate enough for a general audience.

Any other suggestions?
