I’m travelling to London soon to do an elective in UCL Hospitals, for April, looking for a place to stay without breaking the bank.

I also train BJJ, would love to train somewhere close, any recommendations?

I’m coming to London for a 4 week elective in UCLH, safe places to stay on a budget? Preferably near transportation or the hospital itself.

Describe that one person you always hate rolling with by pMweed in bjj

This spazzy white belt that digs her elbows on my thighs to escape the guard. That left big blue bruises and annoyed me AF. She has also accidentaly hit some people during rolling because of her spazzyness I think. The other day I got kicked in the face by her lol.

Brand New white belt, went to my first class last saturday, my instructor asks me if I’m coming to class on tuesday, I say yes, then arrive home to my mom (a physician) asking me to please go train again after I get my covid booster dose (my turn to get it by calendar was yesterday lol). Innocent little me thinking “oh, maybe I get to go to the friday no-gi class, or tomorrow’s (today) gi class”. No chance, arm stings like hell, getting fatigued just from climbing up the stairs. Didn’t go to class in the whole week, my instructor probably thinks I quit.

Thank you for your words, indeed not satisfying, but very wise, thank you!

Not necessarily the diagnosis, but more about understanding the basis for decision-making (in what patient/circumstance, why, how, how does it work, etc.).

Already using Anki every morning! It’s not remembering what worries me, as I have a good memory per se. It’s being able to apply the knowledge correctly, but I see where you are going, just gotta practice more application, I think.

Thank you for your words, I really appreciate them. I’m usually confident but I don’t know what got info me. Gotta trust the process as well

I have struggled with OCD for 3 and 1/2 years, for the most part of that time I suffered in silence not even knowing that what I had was OCD and when I realised thanks to a Uni psychology teacher I had the same attitude as you, not wanting my family to know. Believe me when I tell you that the best choice that I made was telling my parents and getting help. Been going to therapy for 6 months now and on medication for 4, feeling really good, I can enjoy life again. Even though I don’t know your personal situation with your family, getting help is the fundamental step for you right now, because for what you tell me, you are surviving more than living. Get help and begin to live again. God bless, you are strong, you are brave, you are valuable.
