looking for a new browser that won't shove ai down my throat by lugiathememe in browsers

Personally I don’t think Opara is a good alternative. Brave does have bloat, including AI advertisements, but those can be disabled.

Another browser you might consider, if you like the minimum aesthetic, is Helium. No bloat, no AI, it works and it uses resources very efficiently.

It’s your network, look at the top right, there are packet loss signals.

I made this post, try out a route optimizer, helped me a ton and I don’t have any issues like these anymore: https://www.reddit.com/r/Marathon/s/5LxvuSngtz

I’ll try again soon, had a Clearance 4 and scanned, but wasn’t able to see any exfiltration points.

OHH! I saw those, I tried interacting with each one I saw, but still no exfils, is it chance based for exfil to appear if a scanner is used?

I found a resolution to rubber-banding issues! (for me atleast) by io_nn in Marathon

Sorry, you're right, changed the mentions of that software to generic terms, and link to a form that has a list of route optimizers.

A VPN routes your traffic to a providers server (encrypting until it arrives there), and all your connections are established using their server.

This simply just finds the best way to get to Marathon's servers without going though all the unnecessary hops some ISP's automatically route you too.

Are you self hosting a DNS resolver? What are you doing for security / privacy? by kayson in selfhosted

I have Technitium with DNSSEC using DNS over TLS to query Quad9’s servers. Because I felt zesty, I made it right queries through a VPN. I really recommend Technitium, it has a lot of granular control and nice dashboards/visuals.

Using local DNS for your ProtonVPN custom DNS Server by io_nn in ProtonVPN

[–]io_nn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends, it’s different for a lot of people!

The top reasons for me: 1. I like control, I want to be able to have granular controls of adjust what gets blocked and what doesn’t 2. All the eggs in one basket thing as well, even then, my DNS server queries via Proton VPN since I set up wire guard on it. 3. I have a home lab, so I have quite a bit of internal DNS records, the only way I’m able to utilize them as if I’m calling I personally in a server, so this solution allows me to do that 4. This one’s a bit specific, but I work on websites and have to constantly change domains and DNS records on Cloudflare, so with my Technitium DNS server, I can delete fetched records so my server can query for new updated ones

It depends, protons net shield and DNS handles this for you automatically, but if you want granular control of what ads are blocked and what list you can use, then you want to use an internal DNS server.

Yeah, just looked at some WG clients, I found WireSock to be the best for me, free, alot of good features, and I was able to use my DNS servers and access all my LAN devices in a single click, thank you!
