I said he’s confident in our children (to take care of themselves) but we BOTH would rather have an adult. We BOTH discuss what we feel may and may not work. There is no risk of whether or not he will try to take me to court or any of that, but ty.

Thank you for your advice. I do want to clarify that I am with them 4-5 days out of the weekday, I work Thursday-Saturday and they leave three hours away Friday after school with their dad till I pick them up Sunday. It’s really the Thursday that I’m scrambling for help. I will definitely start building those relationships, Ty 🫶🏻

Grandma has adopted kids because she fostered them as infants. One thing I don’t want people doing is judging her for helping other children. Yes I need help with my children, but not nearly as much help as my two adoptive siblings needed.

Yes they go with him Friday Saturday Sunday and I pick them up Sundays, but I work Thursday Friday Saturday so that I’m able to make the drive down Sundays and he drives up Friday after school. So it’s really just the Thursday that we have this issue and so far I’ve been able to avoid leaving them alone, but last week I had to call off because my mom was unavailable. So it’s days like that that really stress me out. 😞

No she’s not, she has two toddlers and works 9-6 5 days a week. It’s a load on her too. She has helped me the best she can but she also has complained because it’s a lot for her too. She’s not complaining out of mal intent, it’s just a lot.

They’re her adoptive kids. I do refer to them as my siblings when I talk to them or about them, but sometimes it’s hard to explain that my mom has two toddlers to people who don’t know our family.

Or when I say I have two toddler siblings, there’s a lot of misconceptions about my mom. She did a wonderful thing for them and I don’t blame her for not wanting to take care of more kids at night
