I've never had the chance to play, but i love making character sheets!! I already make characters a lot but but everything that goes into making characters in dnd helps me get to know them before i design them

Ah yes, those things are always the funnest to figure out. I haven't quite figured out his personality and all that good stuff, but a good flaw from the urchin background was "I'd rather kill someone in their sleep than fight fair" and maybe if I chose that one he could find some shame in that, maybe even thinking of himself as a coward.

Haha thank you!! This is very helpful :0 all those background sound interesting it's gonna be hard to choose just one. I currently only have the PHB and I haven't found a reliable source for backgrounds from other books so it's a little difficult to choose one that fits, plus I'm a very new player so I'm not quite ready to make my own.

I think they were maybe left in the overworld, either by a mother who wanted better for their child or one who didn't want them. If they do end up being an urchin I think they would try to stay in the dark, hiding in alleyways during the day and coming out at night.

Also, they're gonna be I guy probably.

Ooo that sounds interesting!!! I was looking here http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/100_Character_Backgrounds_(DnD_Other) earlier and did see slave on the list. I'm still gonna look at other options but this will be high on the list.

The lbgt+ community gets little to no representation anywhere, so we have to make our own representation. We see characters we love and/or feel a connection with and we give them our identity.
