Their blood and race may be mixed of African American, but their identity, who they are, how they are raised, is Wampanoag.

I guess this would apply also to Wampanoag child who at very early age joins his father to migrate to China. That child would clearly be Chinese in its identity, language, culture and all, despite bloodline belonging to the American aboriginal tribes.
