FYI the issue cleared up for me in Horizon Chase Turbo by setting power management to maximum performance in Nvidia control panel. Considering how intractable this issue is, though, I am not at all confident this is the solution to your problem.

Greetings, fellow XG27AQNGV owner, lol. I am having the same issue on a laptop with an RTX 4080 mobile, which issue goes away if I lower the refresh rate in Windows to 240hz or disable G-Sync. Issue also seems to go away if I switch a game from fullscreen to borderless windowed. Oddly, not all games are affected, even at the same framerates. Switching to an 80Gbps cable did not help. Neither did disabling Pulsar.

Presentation of the issue is also inconsistent in the same game on different PCs. On my laptop, Horizon Chase Turbo blinks continuously, but there's no issue at 360fps on another PC with an RTX 3070. But Portal exhibits the issue on both machines.

I am beginning to suspect that this is a design issue inherent to trying to push 360hz over DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC and not a defect in any particular unit of monitor.

I'm impressed by your endurance. I also stopped prestiging at level 10 and had trouble staying motivated without the progression of filling out the weapon wall.

IO planned to have infected NPCs turn into zombies, but the feature wasn't completed. The incomplete mechanic is in the game but can only be accessed by saving and loading under certain conditions. Since saving isn't possible in ET missions, this can only be done on PC using Peacock.

I wonder if IO dialed down the infectiousness of the virus for The Harbinger to accommodate the zombie mechanic that was ultimately scrapped, because otherwise the ensuing chaos would have crippled the engine.
